thanks a lot you just saved me from a long struggle !!! I was struggling to find an on screen translator for a long time but now i've it in my channel now I can translate without any language barrier!!! thank you very much !!!
A lot of people are looking for this kind of tutorial. Thank you soo much for this. Is there any way i can get all the subtitles automatically copied and saved into a text file or copied from Japanese and stored into a text file?
That's a good question I don't know if that is possible or not you might have more luck contacting the creator on twitter. He usually responds pretty quickly to any questions or issues (twitter.com/sayonari)
Here are some things to check that may be causing it to not work... 1. You need the Voice recognition English if that's what you speak and you need the translation language to be what ever language you want it to translate too. 2. You minimized the tab with the translator on it. It needs to be an active window or it won't update the text. 3. You have another tab on full screen. Make sure the main tab/program your using isn't in full screen. I noticed the program wont update in real time unless both windows aren't in full screen mode. 4. You have two tabs open with the translator. I notice Having two of them breaks the translator and I had to close one and refresh the page.
I think the online translator is now bugged as the captions now disappear within SECONDS after speaking, so it appears setting the timer isn't effective now. :(
Thank you for this tutorial! Is there a way to utilize the service for watching streams, so you would have live translated captions even if the streamer isn't using the translate service?
As long as the microphone you selected can hear the streamer then it should work. If there is music or background noise in the stream it might not be as accurate.
hi i am having some small issue where : 1) i speak English and would like the text to be translated to Japanese. 2) it translated either english or japanese randomly and in both languages but gets stuck to english text when its done translating too fast which defeats the purpose. all settings are unchanged and i have thoroughly followed the websites latest steps. please assist T_T
Okay I had the same issue, but it's because the webpage is automatically translated to english, including the texts. You have to put all your settings and then put back the web page in Japanese. Hope that helps !
Thank you for the excellent tutorial! Could you please help me with something, I'm struggling to add the translation text to my OBS. The tutorial on the website says you should add it via a web capture, but when I select web capture on OBS it just shows my computer screen, I don't see anywhere to add the text translation.
I'm capturing the window and using a green screen and cropping it so only the text is visible. You might want to have a separate window if you want to check on different tabs ect.
Here are some things to check that may be causing it to not work... 1. You minimized the tab with the translator on it. It needs to be an active window or it won't update the text. 2. You have another tab on full screen. Make sure the main tab/program your using isn't in full screen. I noticed the program wont update in real time unless both windows aren't in full screen mode. 3. You put the working page URL into obs browser source instead of using window capture. 6. Microphone access is disabled on that page and you need to enable it. 7. You are using a browser other then chrome.
@@GamingWithMim the problem is on sayonari during the setup /testing. The translation doesn't work. I copied the ID, microphone it's ok, i'm using chrome
Great tutorial I was able to install it, however, when it translates my English into Japanese it then transaltes the Japanese back into English. I was also wondering, as I can speak both English and a little bit of Japanese if I were to speak Japanese would it caputure that or not? If it is set to recognise English as what I'm speaking I mean. I try to speak in Japanese to my Japanese viewers but my level is intermediate at best so it gets messy. Thanks in advance

I'm having trouble with the translator recognizing voices from games lol, any way around this? any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you for the tutorial!
it could be because it has background music or sound effects? I think this translator was originally made for content creators for videos/streams were it's only getting the audio from their mic. I don't think the software was optimized for translating games, anime ect. Sorry I can't be of any more help.
the only url you will need is this one (www.sayonari.com/trans_asr/asr.html) and this one (sayonari.github.io/jimakuChan/) the other urls in the video will be exclusive to you based on your setting you make. Hope this helps
You shouldn't need to pay for it to work. Here are some things to check that may be causing it to not work... 1. You minimized the tab with the translator on it. Because it's little annoying if the text is always appears on our screen, even though we don't wanna talk yet :D Please help me, anyone? ^^ I've set "Delete the sentence after bla bla bla" to 1000 ms, but nothing happened
do you have the page in multiple windows of sayonari opened or is it minimized? Is the window in the background and there is another window in full screen in front? or did you accidentally delete something in the URL section in the bottom. It could also be on the OBS side since you will need to do a window capture it won't work if you use browser source. If it's none of those things try tweeting at the creator on twitter he might have more information.

You use window capture and chose the window with the captions on it. Make sure no other windows on your screen are in full screen. I notice the captions freeze if I have a tab/program in full screen.
