It's why when men get older we tend to teach even when that's not our intent. My inital intent for example was to cheer on the DM's, not what I ended up writing. Protecting and providing is a part of that energy, so is action. There is also a stillness in the energy too. As well as deeper knowledge and wisdom within the energy. And Creation all energy can and does create things. Every myth ever written about Gods and Goddesses shows the dance of energy. Shows in what ways the Divine Masculine energy is compassionate, nurturing, receptive, and when its time for action. The same is true for the Goddess stories. Each God has a corresponding Goddess they both balance each other out. We have that inside us. That energetic dance of the DM and DF that turns to combination and balance. Although to speak on initiation we have initiations as modern men of where we are alone with ourselves. Its not ritualized but it still happens. We learn at an early age we can only rely on ourselves, because we learn we will be alone for the most part. In the military there are initiation rituals for different ranks that technically cant be done anymore, but still are. Police, Firefighter, and EMT has their own initiation stuff. Usually the 21st birthday is the social ritual of adulthood, thats the closest some of us get to an initation of adulthood. The ritualized lets get this guy super drunk 21st birthday. Usually is a day most of us cant forget.

Speaking as a member of the DM crowd, there are actually some echoes of the initiation rituals you spoke on. There are circumstances where young men do go through these types of things, either through formal organizations or family traditions. True, they're not quite as intense as the tales of romanticized experiences from books/stories, but they are still present. It's just society doesn't take note nor care, because prowess of that nature has lost value. Not that I pine for a world where those skills are necessary, I kinda like being able to go to the store and get a coffee and some food without having to raise/kill it myself, or physically compete for the right to order a latte, even though that competition has taken the form of having a job and money. Which, kinda gets to the point of the whole thing, it's money. But not money in the sense of "money gets me stuff", but money in what it actually represents, which is time, and life energy.

I sprint 10 miles everyday and work 8 hours. Yeah my dad use to call me ugly and stupid. And he beat my ass and choked me then called the cops and said I hit him and they arrested me cuz it's his house. Went to jail for 10 days but ive been to jail like 4 months in total from smoking weed on probation
