Haha yeah it's getting a bit unruly now isn't it! Thought now I've got the dad title I thought I best act like it 😂 I'm glad you liked the video and thanks for the comment!
Congratulations bonnie lad! 😎 You have got no idea how your life is going to change! I am jealous. When my kids were young were the best years of my life. Enjoy! 😍😍😍
Nice one George, both the fishing and congrats on young Alfie, soon you'll be forking out on bigger nappies, then shoes, then extra rods!! Once you have responsibilities, 2 hours is a good sesh, and boy do you appreciate those carefree moments!! Good luck fella! 😊
Thank you! Yeah it's going to all get very hectic soon I imagine. I'll still always find time to get out and film! Thanks for the comment and I'm glad you liked the video
Congrats on the new addition. We ll have to appreciate your vids even more now that you ll be dividing your time between nappies and fishing. My parents live in Poulton so I'm always to see if I can recognise any of your fishing spots. Tight lines. Callum
😁😁😁😁😁Great vid mate that lure deffo caught you and not the fish and Massive congratulations to you and Georgia on the safe birth of baby Alfie👶👶👶 Hope mum and son are doing well and looking forward to your bleary eyed future vids after many nighttime nappy changes (been there done that ) congrats again and tight lines🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
Thanks mate! Mum and son are both well. I appreciate the comment and I'm glad you enjoyed the video, I'm sure that the lure will start catching a few more fish once I learn to use it properly!
Salmo slider is so easy to make youtself bro i have 8 Salmo sliders then i decided to make my own along with thr jigfly love the savage gear jerkster awesome lure,
I'd love to have a go making some lures. I think it would be a bit expensive getting all the gear I need to do it though. Limited experience with woodwork too but its definitely something I want to do
Thanks mate I appreciate that! Finding it very rewarding and exciting so far, looking forward to him being old enough to have a rod in his hand though!
@@adventurefishinguk absolutely. I’m a girl dad and my daughter has no interest in accompanying me when fishing it when going to watch Everton, although I can’t blame her for the latter, I barely want to watch them myself at the minute. Fingers crossed for a son one day who can suffer Everton with me and enjoy a days fishing. 🤣
Nice lure, don't think I have seen it in Canada. I have seen pike and muskie take ducklings, muskrats, and seagulls so I am pretty sure they will take a kingfisher. And little Alfie is going to be a little fishing buddy for you.
Really nice looking lure isn't it! A more natural pattern would probably work better but i do like to have a bit of fun sometimes. Pike eat ducklings and moorhens and stuff over here too, never heard of a seagull though! Hopefully he gorws up to like fishing 🤞 Thanks for the comment!
Thanks mate I appreciate that! Hopefully he gets into fishing that would be ideal. Thanks for subscribing you’ll have to let me know what you think of the videos if you watch a few more 🎣
Congrats on the nipper! Love the Salmo Slider, I use the little 5cm and have had perch, chub and pike on it. I bought a 10cm version yesterday, too scared to use it in the snaggy river today. River piker sells rated split rings, so you can use lower rated rings compared to your line. Theory is that in a snag, the ring lets go first. Expensive lure saved. In theory 😬
Thanks mate! I'm loving it too, I'll definitely have to look into picking some of those split rings up. I've only ever really used the bigger ones, is the small one good?
The small one’s great for shallower runs as it’s quite slow sinking. As you pointed out they’re quite erratic so I tend to reel in with only gentle but constant twitches. Using the roach pattern it’s very eye catching when it wobbles! Really good in the summer when there are perch, chub and pike about. I tend to swap the rear treble out for a single hook just in case, and crush all the barbs too.
@@adventurefishinguk mines a few years old so imagine a few differences outside of the length. I’ve noticed it’s great with lighter lures than stated too, can get good distance with 30g jigs or a 130g køfi perch- the versatility is great

Thanks mate! Yeah it’s definitely a bit of a shock to the system, finding it incredibly rewarding so far and it’s not even two weeks in yet!
Already cant wait for the next video!

Thanks mate, I won’t be stopping fishing anytime soon!

Hi! Sometimes I use strike pro babu buster it’s good lure too. I recommend try it and I hope it must be work on your location. Good luck!
Not heard of those before, I’ll have to see if I can get some. Thanks for the advice!

Love the prorex XR, I’ve got the 8’ 6” version paired up with a shimano tranx 301HG- can cast a mile!
I’m liking mine so far, it does feel a bit rickety though when I really give it some on the cast. I went for the shorter version I think

Awwww Alfie ❤️
He's very cute isn't he!
great vid love the new lure
Thanks Dave! Not even the nicest one I've bought, got something really really cool coming up!
Can you get Salmo sliders in 16cm but natural colour's?
I'm not sure mate but I assume so!
Is it a floating of sinking slider?
Sinking 👍🎣
@@adventurefishinguk thanks for your reply , how deep is the water you fishing in ?
@@46bektas no problem, thanks for the comment! Probably only about 5 feet
Cracking lures these but I prefer the westin swim 👍
I’ve got a couple of them not used yet though. On my to do list!

Do you have much luck with them over winter?
Is this Bolton le sands
