The IRF460 is rated at a power dissipation of 280 Watts. To keep within the safe operating area of the device you will require somewhere around 26 of them for 2,000 Watts of output power.
I was just wondering about that because come on one meager little Transformer I think that's what it is come on I know for a fact that it doesn't have the capacitance to accomplish that much wattage for more than a very short time. Increase the voltage yeah but I know for a fact that that little bitty thing can't handle that amount of power something in my little brain tells me
He is misleading people by posting these barely functional circuits with ridiculous ratings. Some are dangerous or will burn out the speaker. Why do you think manufacturers use so many more components to get a properly operating safe circuit? How many people have wasted their time with the garbage he posts?

The maximum power you can get from 12 volt DC supply with 2 ohm load impedance = 12 x 12 / 2 = 72 watt. Only if the efficiency of the circuit is perfect (100%). Can you share the measurement data to prove that you really can get 2000 watts output power ?
ye this is the kind of guy who makes 60w rms amps and labels them as 5000 watts lmao. if i was forced to say something good i guess i would say at least i learned how to make a simple amp
@@Jules-z4e The transformer could pump more voltage into a higher impedance load _if it was the right transformer_ .Thus the power would be increased for a given impedance. The curcuit must be able to supply it of course (it isn't).
Those 2 speakers have never been 500W... Your amp is powered by a 12V battery (that battery has probably 6 Ampers) that means it can do maximum ~ 72 Wrms power.
So if anyone's curious, this kid constructs non functioning circuits out of bits of randomly soldered together components. Then connects a small Bluetooth amplifier disguised as a battery to the "circuit", connected in a way that powers the speakers. I could go in to great detail on the few videos I've watched now of why these aren't even close to being functioning circuits, let alone ones that can be used as linear amplifiers.
Finally one who gets it... The main problem here is the impedance of such a 220 V winding... It would make the signal barely audible at 2 Ohms load. I also concluded that the real audio signal must come out of the manipulated battery. Even though here it's less obvious in this video because of the transformer (which must be manipulated as well).

At home I'm going to be building an amplifier with the tip142 and the tip147/To-247 case. They are Darlington pair design just for amplification. They use these in my fender mixer the LX-1504. These are nice transistors. And the tip122 is good as well. Good choice of transistor.
That's easy to knock up in 15 minutes. Just driving bass speakers but would not be 2000watts RMS as that would pop those little wires and transistors at that power. I got a true 2000 watts RMS in my car and that thing sucks a car battery flat in 15 minute because of over voltage protection over-current and under-voltage protection cuts off the power at 10 volts. I bet it sounds great and rocks the house. Great work. I like..
