One of my very favorite fishing experts. Info packed, great footage, and a nice mix of basic thru to advanced concepts explained succinctly. Steve: Anytime you wanna fish Candlewood, you got a spot on my boat. I am usually pretty dialed in by August. One suggestion: at the end of each vid, let the "click to watch next" video box linger longer. I often have to rewind to catch it, which means some people might be better enticed if it lingered.
My favorite spot to launch my kayak is half a mile from a large area of flats with 3 separate river channels cutting through it... I think I'll fish those today. Always overlooked them for largemouth but would catch catfish and wipers there
Thankyou for sharing that valuable information, this helps a lot! I appreciate the content you provide to help the experience on the water! Sometimes the basics can be just as important as the technology we tend to rely on!
Thanks for sharing this information Steve. I think looking for signs of life is very important in searching for bass in the Summer. I have mostly small shad in the lake I fish. When I am around them I usually get bit! Swimbaits work well for me in these situations. Be safe Steve.
always great advice thanks. I have a segment idea for you, would like to know since you have the underwater camera after I graph over cover that had fish turn around position the boat are those fish still there or did the boat spook them? cause I never seem to catch the ones I see on the structure and I don't have livescope so don't know where they go.
I will have to do that! From what I have seen so far, they usually circle back around and come back to the area, but it may take a while for them to get back there. I will try to get that segment done. Thank you for that!
It took me a long time to realize how important it is to look for signs of life and activity in an area. I've gotten to where I try to spot those small baitfish swimming around and if you can see those, you know those bass are never too far away.
There was zippo life shallow today for me. The only place I could get bit was in that 15-20 ft range. I was trying to put together a video that will upload in a couple of weeks and had to completely adjust. Those bass don't realize I have a schedule. Lol.
I always position my boat in 12 to 15 foot of water. Just incase, that way i can cast into the shallows or fish the deep water. If they are biting shallow im good, if they are on the drop off, im good. However, im mosting a jig fisherman. Lol Cheers!
I was just out now and there was zero life shallow. Moved out a bit and started getting some in about that 15-20ft range. And man, is it hot. Thanks for watching!
You are my favorite person on here for fishing content. Thank you for the good info
Thanks so much! And thank you for watching.

Yeah I agree with this tip, I always have to rewind and catch it it's never up long enough for me. I'm old and slow lol

It is amazing how easy it is to look down at the graph all the time and lose sight of the bigger picture. I know I do.
Thank you Steve

The number of panfish beds I saw today was crazy. It's July and they just keep coming up wave after wave of them. Swimbaits are great lures!
Good class thanks
Thanks! That current is something I really look for this time of year. Gives me lots of confidence I'm in the right spot.
Great tips!

Great to see ya, Steve. Pray you are well. Great advice, and yes, it is extremely hot down here. Be safe
I got off the water a couple of hours earlier than I wanted to today. Just was too hot and the AC was calling me.
Good one

Good video with good reminders. Thanks.
Thanks! I am looking forward to fall fishing though. This old man is worn out in the heat quicker than I was 30 years ago.
Guys help! I’ve got too good as bass fishing! I went out to try and catch some monster red ears this morning and only caught a 3lb bass! Please!!
Lol. I wish I had that problem.
