- Quite a bit of Marvel Legends hitting at the moment but for some reason I wanted to crack open the 85th Anniversary Skarr Son of Hulk figure. It just intriqued me for some reason. Maybe because it's leaps and bounds better than the old Hasbro figure?

You could modify the old Skarr to be a Deviant from Jack Kirby's Eternals storyline??
And add Purple within the lines of Skaar's sword for the Old Power effect from Planet Hulk??
Or blue for the color of the old power I've been watching comics explained vids on planet hulk and world war hulk

I get that it's harder to do on bigger characters, but I so wish he was able to bend his arms enough to have him resting that big old sword on his shoulder, that'd be such a great way to display him. Whilst he's an easy skip for me those head sculpts do so much to take this figure over the top, like you said he's got a lot of presence.

I think they did a wonderful job...the angry head definitely needs more hair length 😅

Pedantic gripe with this figure is why have box art of a massive battle axe and not have it in pack?

It would be cool to see if Hasbro would make the Warbound figures primarily a modern Planet Hulk, Caiera Oldstrong, Korg(comics version), Miek and No-name(Brood) and the Red King as Baf or deluxe figure.
They had a Red King prototype at one time, didn't they? Or some kind of production figure that only made it to ebay or something. It's been a long time ago. But yeah, I'd take that whole crew!

In all seriousness, though, I don't think anyone could really defend that original Skaar figure, it looks awful lol. I'm sure some people might be a little bit nostalgic towards that older one, but I'm personally happy to see it replaced with a better figure!

The old Hasbro Skarr is like young teenage Skarr still growing into his body. This new Skarr is his young adult look. Don’t make me want this Robo. I gotta have funds for a $400+ Classified Rattler. Arrrgh. He looks dang good! I could definitely put him with Kazar. Now I want Sampson and A-Bomb and updated Red She-Betty-Hulk and better Abomination and Bi-Beast and U-Foes….okay this darn figure just made me want more Hulk family and foes. Bring on Illuminati. Yeah Skarr looks good.
U-Foes are TOP of my list when it comes to non-X types! And Doc Samson.....I like that design so much that I bought several of the dark age Hasbro figures, would pick up an updated one in a heartbeat. Two pack Hyperion body, long haired head, belt overlay, boom, done.

I think the "stone" parts might be cast metal, which would explain the pitting and dull look. Because in the comics his armor and sword are metal.

This is one of those that frustrate me cause all the potential lost, a lower ball joint at the neck would help articulation since the hair hinders any movement, no DBL jointed elbows, only pinless arms, and the fur crotch piece shows too much Hulk thigh

I like the song but comparing Danzing to Skar would be an insult to Skar. Also Skar does not has a glass jaw and can take a punch. Probably less of an ass hat too
