@@1974Imperium I always thought that I remembered reading about the back of the head being the most vulnerable to blunt force, but I can’t seem to find anything on that. Do you know of any sources about it asserting that it’s not comparatively worse than other areas?
@TheUFCVeteran in boxing, back off the head punches are a big no no as they have messed up few boxers. Most notably Prichard Colon who feel into a coma after the fight and has never fully recovered.
Didn’t think they were on the back of the head when I watched it live. Went back and watched it after seeing Luke’s stream. Maybe one landed on the back but they rest seemed to be on the ear.
The shots were fine.

This PFL card as a whole was better than anything I have seen in the UFC in a while, and I mean the whole card,not just Alex Pereira knocking people out. I sure as hell will keep watching PFL events from now on

Cyborg is the goat, there is never been a women fighter that has been more impressive, more dominant, more consistent, more skilled or eve' physically gifted as cyborg.
13 years undefeated many nobody ever came close to that in women mma.
And 9 or of 10 times she would have always destroyed nunes, she just came in with the worst game plan ever and decided to do rock em sock em robot and lost, it was her worst performance ever.
Nunes in comparison has more than 5 loses and many of them were brutal, dominant or by finish. Catzingano finished her, even at her peak she got finished by pena.
Cyborg only has 1 lose and she still dominating women's mma at 39 years old.

That fight was far from domination... and 9 times out of ten over Nunes? No... just no. That's a 50-50 fight every time
looked dominant against low skill fighters when she was on steroids. Megumi Fuji was fighting at a way higher skill level in Japan when WMMA in the states was very pathetic looking.

There was a couple that maybe hit back of head but most were absolutely legal imo. Not too upset at the finshing sequence as the legal shots are what started the finish

There's no benefit for the UFC to do that. They gain nothing from giving the PFL any sort of promotion. The PFL is the only one that benefits from that happening.
@J-xc4pw Ngannou was destroying ranked ufc fighters too. Ngannou is special. PFL/Bellator has many elite fighters including fighters that have beaten former ufc champs and ranked ufc fighters

Hmmm that’s honestly hard to believe….obviously AJ is the better boxer with much better technique, but Francis looks like the stronger man with years of grappling training….But higjly doubt AJ could stop a takedown consistently on anyone middleweight and above
PFL didn’t want Pacheco to lose, the commentary was oddly biased towards her and anything she did, and I feel they downplayed the well rounded game of Cyborg, who would’ve whooped Amanda Nunes had she fought like that. Shame they’ll never rematch, but I still have Cyborg as the goat of female MMA, the breadth of her accomplishments from beating Carano in Strikeforce to getting a division made for her in the UFC to winning belts in Bellator and now the PFL, and her biggest loss is to Nunes (unlike Nunes who lost to midcarder Peña)… I’m shocked at how well she looked at this age. She could rejoin the UFC and she’d win the bantamweight belt if she could make the cut.

If there was punches to the back of the head it was because big Dan didn't stop the damn fight in time. He could have stopped that wayyy earlier. The back of the head shots came after the dude was already out. Shitty stoppage imo.
