PoK protests: Pakistan relents to demands of protesters amid calls for India's intervention

After several days of intense protests and violence which led to the death of three people in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK), the Pakistan Government came at back foot as the government announced a huge relief package for people of region. The protest was called off as government accepted their demands finally. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced a Pakistan currency (PKR) 23 billion subsidy package for the people of PoJK. The price of wheat flour had been reduced by PKR 1100 per 40 kg bag, from PKR 3100 to PKR 2000.
