One of Saori Hayami's early roles as Hina. Aoi Yuuki also had a small part too as Fiona, Dio's sister. This makes the show one of the early ones Aoi and Saori worked together, though Fiona and Hina never interacted.
Best part is they aren't really pacifist like Kira and Athrun so we get to really see what these mechs are capable of. Funny thing Luxon and Bradyon are only using the basic equipment until they get there much more stronger versions of themselves.
Its by the same studio that makes gundam, and no this isnt even remoretly as good as the original, if anything it really insults everything the first gundam had tried to convey with its complex themes of morality on both sides of war and how the soldiers are nothing more than needless sacrifices to appease the interests of corrupt leaders on both sides. This series insultingly made the protagonist's side happy and go lucky all the time like they were always constantly fun and freindly while making the enemy side nazi like and evil for the sake of it, it fools the viewer into thinking war is made up of good vs evil rather than evil vs evil like it truly is. Even that aside this series was just painfully average in everything it does and it has a ginormous plot hole in its final episode when it clumsily explained its time travel plotpoint.
Fanfiction does a better job in explaining the time travel plot point. Read Echo Unto Eternity, Unisonia and If we Leap through Time. To be honest I kind wish Canon was like these stories, it shows what they could've really done with this series.
