You're welcome! My rebel videos don't get as many views as my subaru forester videos but I'll keep making them! I'd love to come to Germany some day and I appreciate you stopping by!
Hi, can you please give me the usb dual port charger specs (mesure) the one you post seems to be no longer available, at least for spain. Thank you very much for the video!
Great video, thanks for posting. I would be interested to see how it holds up against any water exposure (rain, etc.). I definitely think the cap on the adapter will work well to keep the usb ports dry, but I feel water will still get in between the adapter and the socket which would not be ideal. I wonder if you could get some sort of rubber washer/gasket that you could help seal off the space between the adapter and the socket.
Great question. I do such limited riding and I would be surprised if this bike ever see's rain but yeah, I agree, water has the potential to squeeze between the adapter and the socket but it is quite tight so it would really need to be a downpour for that to happen in my opinion. Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for watching! Here's the part # HON-08U71-K87-A30 , and I tried ordering directly from Honda but it was on back order for months and eventually found it on ebay from a dealer. But here's the official Honda link. shop.powersports.honda.com/p/12v-accessory-socket-15
Just discovered your channel and subscribed. What other mods have you do to the Rebel 500? I would love to see more off road adventures on your channel.
I bought the same set up as you after watching your video. Question for you-mine came with an electrical relay. After installing everything as you did I went to test it and nothing:(. There is nothing in the instructions about the relay-whether to use it or not, and if so, where does it go? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, did you use the metal spacers the instructions said to use? It didn’t look like it in your video but the instructions said to. Don’t think the bolts are long enough to reconnect if you use them. Thanks, Greg
Electrical relay? No mine did not come with one nor did the instructions I was sent mention anything about them on the parts list. And I did not use the spacers. I'm not looking at the instructions but I believe it comes with spacers depending on the model and trim to accommodate a different cowl or windscreen. Sorry if I didn't make it clear on the video that I didn't use them as I also realized the bolts would not be long enough if I did. Hope this helps!
@@MarcsMotors Thanks. I spent a lot of today researching this after I wrote you. I found out that 2023 Rebels have to have that relay in order for the unit to work. There is no mention of it whatsoever in the instructions. I called our local Honda dealership and he had no idea about the relay. Turns out there is a write up with diagrams on one of the Rebel 500 Forums. The painful part of that is that you have to raise the gas tank up a lot and then find where it goes. It is very hard to find and hidden well under a rubber cover that is very difficult to undo and release. It’s even harder to put the relay in and reassemble everything. What should have been and easy install took a couple of hours. The good news is once I plugged it in it works as it should. Thanks for your reply.
@@harleychief7285I was about to do this same install, they no longer provide an instruction sheet.. they sent me to a web address that I have not found anything on yet. Thanks for the tips.
In Spain they are trying to charge me 137,5€ only for installation... You save me boy! Thanks a lot.
Thanks for the video!, it is very well explained. At the dealer they want to charge me 200 bucks plus installation...
Great Idea with USB Part. Ordered 2. Nice install video too
Glad you liked it and I appreciate the comment!
Thank you for the video. I ordered an adapter for my 500 and will be installing it this afternoon. Be safe and enjoy the ride! 👍
Awesome! Good luck, it is a lot easier than I realized so you should be fine. Be safe out there!
Thx for all the Rebel videos. Greetings from Germany!

Hey sorry about that and thanks for letting me know! I just revised the link in the description to the newer version of the outlet. Take care!

You could always find an o ring to put around it to make a better seal
Why did you take the seat off?
To disconnect the battery per the installation instructions. Safety first!
Hey, thank you for the video. Could you provide a weblink to the store where you bought the accessories socket please?

Thanks!! Editing a video now from another mod upgrading the stock levers, and more to come!

Does it work on Rebel 500 2020
Can it be used to connect a trickle charger>
I have the same question
Not to my knowledge but I would check the specifications from Honda for this item. I have the link to the Honda instructions in the description
2023 reble500?
Found the cables but there is no power
