Sorry for some of the crappy angles I am suffering with Strep throat and fatigue. It was also pretty cold the wind didn’t help but I tried the best I could. Hope yall enjoy!
thanks for sharing the parade pard. First time for me marching *LIKED* the video and perhaps we can meet up on the field or around the camp fire some day. --LT
Anytime! I would absolutely love to meet someday! Let me know if you guys are having any events down in Pennsylvania West Virginia Virginia Maryland! I’d love to see!
Great video! There were seven of us that represented our North-South Skirmish Association (N-SSA) unit. We are the 30th Virginia Sharpshooter Battalion at the 23:59 mark.
@@YellingRebReenacting I'm related the Weikert's of Gettysburg, George George (where Gen. Reynolds body was taken), General Lee, J.E.B. Stuart, Weikerts also fought on the Union side there. Other reletives were busy elsewhere. General Ulysses S. Grant at Vicksburg and a guy in D.C. you may heard of, Abraham Lincoln. I found all this on Ancestry.
What a great parade, and thanks for the video ! Does the event include a recitation of the Gettysburg Address ? The anniversary of the immortal Gettysburg Address is November 19 !
Nice parade. The bands set the beat...and the step... But some of the participants in military uniform seriously didn't know how to march....they were completely out of step in their own world.
Haha my dad got so mad at that! Him being in the military for 20 years knows how to march. The whole ride home he was like “They gotta learn how to march!” Haha I was laughing the whole time 😂
Yes Reb I agree with you and your Dad. The best marching here is from the bandsmen... Because the beat and music is natural to their step...where as some of the others are clearly on a mindless wandering ramble. @@YellingRebReenacting
Great! As a Pennsylvanian I think this is important to acknowledge all our soldiers---even from over 150 or more years ago. God bless them!
🇺🇲
It’s important to preserve history good or bad! It was a wonderful display

The ladies' outfits are so beautiful.
Everyone looked smart yesterday! It was a wonderful day for the parade.
Absolutely! Everyone was dressed for the nines!
@@YellingRebReenacting Yes! All the reenactors were even fantastic if you had the chance to chat them up.
When my father was a boy in the 1920s and 1930s, he said soldiers who actually fought in the Civil War would march in these parades.
That must of been really interesting to see all those veterans! Thanks for sharing!!
Those Confederates look well fed now !
God bless the south.
God bless confederate states.
Sound DIXIE!!!!
Gettysburg was a tragedy for the south!
What a great parade, and thanks for the video !

HAIL GENERAL MEADE!!!
Who knew that in modern times, the South would save the Union.
Barely any single fit man in that parade...
Women wore funny looking clothes.
Yeah that did 😂
