- In this video I clean a car interior on a car that was rescued from a scrap yard! The car now belongs to a viewer he's asked me to clean the interior so he can use it as a work in progress prior to sorting the bodywork out.

Silicone spray overdose!
The UK lock ups are worse than ours in Canada so most likely couldn't do anything.
@@animeangel1983 so he was locked up?
@Onion Ring Well at least that something, they still want to lock us up here in Canada. We have an election coming so I don't know if that will do anything...
@@animeangel1983 Hope so, it cant go on forever
I'm I the only one that would like to see the customers reaction to how his pride and joy looks when it's been professionally cleaned 👍
I would love to see customers reaction
Pimp my ride type haha! *Heres you’re keys and you’ve just been autoshined*
Yes he's back!!! You've been missed matey !!!
Truck driver delivering for Aldi, always wanted to be a trucker and have been doing it for 28 years!
This is now the cleanest blue rust I ever had seen.
Amazing job mate. Can't thank you enough 👌
Good on you for saving it.
Looking great! Maybe get ahold of hubnut and see if he'd like to review it once you finish up the body work!
Wow!!! The dashboard and console shine like the Queen's crown!!!!!
I've never felt as old as when you showing the radio working, and put up the note onscreen that it reminded you of the first GTA games, when I remember using similar radios in my first cars. Jaysus!
Wish I could find someone local with a fraction of your passion for a job well done!
Moose stealing the show at the start licking his lipstick 😂 I have been a welder/plater since leaving school, never done anything else, only worked for three companies in that time an I’m 43, love the job, it pays well, all good 👍
You're a lucky man...
Man i missed the Autoshine video's basically the only detailing channel i still watch every video.
Yay, missed you and Moose! So glad you are back 👍🙂
Work as a taxi driver for my mum and dads taxi company and love your videos as we clean our own taxis so your tips and tricks are brilliant
I'm a towboat pilot, I started out cleaning barges as a stopgap, then I got hired on where I was cleaning barges as a deckhand, did that for almost 15 years, my company sold out their boats and the new company sent me to school to get my license, a classic stop gap turning into an awsome career! I really enjoy what I do!
Thank goodness you're back Gary. Detail Geek is great but his patter is pish. Nice job on the 305. My dad used to fancy one of them back in the day. I'm a Firefighter back in your homeland. Dream job. 🏴🚒🔥
I’d have love to have been a fireman but I’m crap on a ladder 😆
I am a retired school librarian. Love your videos. I live in Texas.
Glad to see you again! I'm a receptionist, I've been working at my job for 7 years. I got the job because my sister-in-law was the previous receptionist. She was pregnant and ended up having the baby very premature (my niece is perfectly healthy now!) on the weekend. We had been saying the whole time that I should apply for her job when she went on maternity leave, so I went in first thing Monday morning with my resume before they had a chance to post the job opening! I wouldn't say this is my dream job but my employers and coworkers are great so I have no desire to leave.
Thanks for watching. I think being happy in your workplace is more important than the actual job itself. 😊
This is what I’ve been missing! Don’t go away for so long next time! 😩. Hope you’re well
This video brought so many memories back for me. My husband used to drive one of these when we first started dating back in the early ‘90’s. Great car and you could fit a load of camping gear in the boot. Thanks for the memories 🙏🏼👍🏽😊
Takes me back to when I was a little kid, the old door handles inside and out, the dashboard😊I wish I was that kid again
I so agree with you Phil!!
I saved it from the scrapyard! I regularly run these 305's as daily drivers so when a local scrapyard picked one up they got in touch to see if I wanted it.
Cheers Scott. If you hear of any decent front seats for it I'd appreciate a heads up. Bodywork next 👌
Small world eh, what scrapyard as you sound like your from my old neck of the woods lol
@@autoshineblackpool it was around Dalkeith somewhere from what I remember. The scrapyard don't generally sell cars to the public but I'm guessing that they probably thought there wouldn't be any demand for parts if it was broken up.
The car wasn't in the scrapyard for very long but had sat in the previous owners garden near newbridge for a long time, I think he had plans to restore it and started doing bits and pieces and accumulating parts.
The story goes that the scrap men chapped the door when the husband was away for the weekend and the wife was more than happy to get rid of it...
The only reason I sold it was because at the time I had too many similar cars including 4 305's. I've kept one on the road, a 1.6 petrol estate and a diesel estate for spares. I think they are great looking and driving cars, they handle really well and glide over bumps due to the rear suspension setup.
@@colinmcghee8509 I'm guessing you'd be wanting the tweed style seats to match the rear? I don't have any of those but if I find any I'll let you know.
A very small world! I work with @Retroshite down the yard! 🤘🏻🏴
We need more videos. It means the world is back on track. I need this.
Been a car valeter since 2009 and detailer since 2013 wouldn’t change it Iove it I always watch this guy he’s the best RUclipsr on the planet !!!!!
In terms of Jobs, I’m a railway signal electrician. I fix any sort of electronic thing related to the rail infrastructure (such as point motors, signals, level crossing equipment etc). I got into this field quite by accident. I started with the railways as a transit officer, and wasn’t really happy there, and, after a few years the opportunity came up to switch fields, and my employer offered me the chance to study, and keep my wage, so I jumped at it, and that’s how I got to where I am.
Just great to see you back Scottie, keep the great videos coming again. The diesel engines in these went to the moon and back, the dash shares similarities to the Peugeot 205, another Peugeot car in the 1980's
I'm a maintenance technician at Nissan & have been doing that kinda job since I left school. Love it & every day is different. (No we don't do star jumps before starting work 🤣)
I got the cleaning/detailing bug after getting an old car & thinking....I can make this look better & went from there.
Loads of learning curves & product testing later & I can knock out a mint job 👌
Wife still complians tho 🙄
Shows what good quality interiors Peugeot had back then.
I agree with you. A light polish and leave it as is. All old cars should be rescued 👍🏻
I'm a railway signal engineer. Unemployed for over a year so went back to the scouts as a leader, met a guy who worked on the railway through that and got a start. 11 yrs later I'm still working in the best job I've ever had. Love it.
A lovely job on the old Peugeot. I'm sure Colin will be delighted. To answer your question; I'm a Support Engineer for an Network Equipment Manufacturer (NEM). I specialise in optical fibre networks and now work with to the home systems. I've been supporting companies like openreach for the last 15 years. I had been completing Microsoft Certifications and was planning to work in IT; I joined a test equipment vendor as a repairs engineer as it had regular hours and regular income while I was completing my studies. I completed my studies, but stayed in the job that was planned to be a stop-gap. A couple of promotions later with a lot of experience under my belt, I moved to the NEM and never looked back.
Excellent clean up of a classic car.
I'm a dog trainer and I've been doing this for 14 years. Prior to that I spent 22 years as a Travel Agent. Dogs are nicer people, although the hair buildup in my car is epic!
I used to have a 305gl estate. One of the best cars I've ever owned. Built like a tank, yet it was great to drive with really communicative steering and well placed pedals. Hardly any rust on it even though it was 16 years old. You could also set the heating to have cold air in the face and warm air to your feet. It was great on fuel as well. Sadly electrical gremlins and noisy top end spelled its end after 130000 miles.
Great to see you back mate. More old cars please. It's fascinating to see how they're built. No air bags. No massive pillars. No multifunction steering wheel. Great stuff... I was in the Grenadier Guards for 8 years then on building sites for 12.. grave digging for 6 now I do PAT Testing .. and shall continue for the next 5 years untill I retire.. 🤣👍
Hi Autoshine Cars - English/Scottish Expat watching from sun scorched California - Cloud Engineer - and it all started with a zx81 ! love the videos - keep them rolling - more please !
I’m an Accountant and Chartered Ship broker. Never wanted to be an accountant, 30 years ago I wanted to do a degree in business studies but my Company would only sponsor me to do accountancy exams as they didn’t have many studying it. So with reluctance; as a couple of mates had started them and found them too difficult; I started them and somehow kept passing the exams. I went into the marine industry and ended up doing the Chartered Ship broking exams to learn more about the business, I couldn’t tell the pointy end to the blunt end of a ship before that. Its been about eight years ago now. Funny how things Happen. I have had an interest in detailing for about two years and love this Channel. Also bought G101 about a year ago from seeing you use it and it’s brilliant stuff. Always look out for any new content.👍
So glad you’re back!! I’m a paralegal. Kind of envious of what you do. You can see immediate results.
I bet your better paid though 😂
Thanks for watching 😊
wow upmarket workshop now, great to see you back, keep em coming cheers.
More videos please? This one was GREAT. Please keep them coming on a regular basis? Fantastic content
Thank you. Have you seen my other videos? 😊
@@autoshineblackpool Yes! I’ve watched almost all of them. “Please, sir, can I have more?”
It's great to see you back again,, you did a great job on the Peugeot
Thank you 😊
You're welcome hopefully we won't have to wait soo long for the next one 🤞🤞👍👍
Great video and its great to see you creating again. I am a high school Industrial Arts teacher. I have been for 40 years (next year). I’ve been everything up to a Deputy Principal and loved it. Why? I got a scholarship to go to teachers’ college and as my parents were not that’s well off, it was my way to get a professional without being as burden to them. I worked as an office furniture removalist and chicken deliverer to make ends meet during uni. At 60 I am now transitioning to retirement and looking to be be fully retired in 5 years cleaning one or two cleans Mercs a week!! 🤔 🤤 I currently have too many clients to keep a full time job so will need to be empathetic when saying no if I don’t have the time to detail a regular’s car when they need it the most. Keep up their great work. Lloyd
Thanks for commenting. It's sounds like a nice situation to be in. Enjoy your retirement 😊
Telecom installer (wireless) for altogether 30 years. A little late to be a stopgap. It keeps my head on a swivel for good reasons and annoying ones alike. I can't do boring so that keeps me in, it seems. Polishing out my old truck(red) sent me down the detailing youtube rabbit hole about 5 years ago. For whatever reason, I still watch a few of you guys.
So happy to see Autoshine back on the job!!!!!
I've been a mechanic, then ended up valeting and working for myself. Then took a job valeting full time for a car sales place I was doing odd valet at. Then from that I've become a salesman at the same garage. But I still end up helping valters when I'm not busy and then do some services on cars I've got going out so use all the skills I've learnt in all the different fields all the time now.
My favorite car vlog is back. Good to see you back again and in good health i hope.
Glad to see another video. I learned to drive in a 1981 Peugeot 504 Diesel Wagon in California. My parents bought it brand new just two years before. It has been years since I've seen one in the USA. I had my first "accident" in that car when I scraped the side of it while pulling into a tight parking spot. This video brings back many memories.
I’m a electrical field advisor, helping our clients to install their new gas turbines in power plants. Best job I’ve ever had, I get to see strange places around the world and get a good pay out of it.
Started as a radio DJ. Then got a job as a Communications Specialist (dispatcher) for the Iowa State Patrol. Did that 32 years. Now retired.
Thank goodness for that, your back 👏👏👏👏👏
Well I had a Renault 5 that I drove around in for 14 years , I had great fun in it 😌
I used to be a industrial and commercial tyre fitter I got blown up by a tyre and now I'm disabled because of it but still alive to tell the tale, great work as always 👍
Ive been a tyre fitter for trucks and tractors. Hard work and dangerous as you obviously know. Glad you survived though !
I'm so glad you're back!! I work at my mother in law's resort/ hotel doing general maintenance and gardening. I am only here because I was injured in multiple car collisions and can't work a real job. 4 car collisions in 2 years and I broke my back twice so working for family means if I need to I can go a few days without working. I hate the job, but it feeds us.
Back in action at last wondered where you’d gone , great video as always , all the best mate
I'm a 50 year old lady with no lower legs, as of 2018. When I worked, I was an Auto parts delivery driver for NAPA, O'Reilly, Auto Zone, Big D Kia, and Rusty Wallis Honda, all in Dallas, Texas. Then I was a convenience store cashier, and I worked the gas island at Costco. I can work on cars, like brake pads, oil changes, plugs and wires/coils, thermostats and gaskets, etc. Now, I am a housewife. In a wheelchair, due to deformed feets bones, and botched surgeries. I cook, clean the bathroom, do the laundry, sweep and Swiffer, do the dishes by hand, etc. In a falling apart into 3 sections old country house, on a billion a mountain in Kentucky. I don't get to town a lot. I have a wonderful Man. Real Man. Does anything for me, and works 6 nights a week for Tyson 🍗🍗. God bless everyone who read this whole thing! 👑🎩
😂😂 on a HILL on a mountain...
AM I DREAMING!? I swear I woke up... I've even had coffee...🤔
Hold on a tick, IT IS YOU!!! HOLY COW, WELCOME BACK!!!
We've missed you!!! 😭💕😂🎩
P.S. Good Sir, I'm not going to fast forward to anything. I'm going to sit here, drinking coffee, smoking a bowl, soaking up your accent. Loving every minute of it. 🎩
Well thanks you good sir 😁
That's absolutely ace!! Good on Colin for saving it! My family used to sell those, dad said the diesels barely used any!
Any what?

Started out cleaning cars for the neighbors when I was 6! Left college, worked for a VW dealership in parts department. Hated it Boss made my life hell. Once I passed the NVQ handed in notice. Been self employed window cleaning for the last 18 years. Still clean familys car and vans! Love all your tips! Magic sponges are great on UPVC windowsills!
Great work on that one mate, I love to see old classics being saved👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Welcome back Gary, you have been missed
Glad to see you back !.
Please keep the videos coming, watched them all ( a couple of times at least ).
Thanks for the tip about using a proper window cloth my Mr's could not believe how good it works, got two off Ebay and they are used every week and the results are unbelievable to the old way we cleaned windows and mirrors.
Great video Gary glad you are back 👍
Is everyone ignoring the fact that the clock still works in this thing?????? Holy crap! LOL
You must own stock / shares in the company manufacturing that silicone spray🤣. Layering that on really thick !!
I LOVE seeing old 'mundane' cars getting good treatments. There was a fella that had a Toyota Corolla from back in the 80's and it looked factory fresh after a good detailing. Awesome stuff!
BTW, I'm a HGV driver.... genuinely I want to see how much mileage its got in it. Money's way better than what I earned previously.
Great video. We had a 305 van....bullet proof. Good to see you back!!!!
We have a 1986 2.8 v6 sierra xr4x4 that we are getting back on the road. I believe 1980's cars offer the right mix of reliability and easy maintenance. You certainly don't need a computer science degree to work on them, but as there's less than 30 left of the mk1 4x4, to say its a mission to get injection system parts is a understatement. We are fortunate that the body is solid.
it's about time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great to see you back 😀 with cleaning video great old pug 🚗 that need to be saved and some great TLC from you 👍
We had three 305s in the family back in the day. I loved them.

I am a tech fitter at Halfords and specialise in stereos, dashcameras, reversing cameras, amps, subs, etc. Quite complex stuff at times but my car geekiness is very useful lol. It was a part time job while I was at uni doing Graphic Design and 3 years on and I cannot find a job in that field 🤣 so I stayed full time. I’d love to branch out on my own but Covid and uncertainty has put paid to that for now 😭 Good to see you back!
Good to see you back with detailing vids!

Hey, great job. I'm a full time paramedic and I do detailing as my second occupation... I've always been around cars, messing about and 2 years ago I finally decided to start detailing as a part time job... your videos have been greatly motivational and encouraging, so thank you in that manner. Keep up the great job, looking forward to more of your stuff. CHEERS!
Welcome back sir. These cars where kinda the backbone of outback africa( 504, 505 stw and pickup diesel). , they even put them together there long after they stopped making them i europe. Their engines where good but they where notorious rustbuckets. Fun fact, the vicar in keeping up appearances had one.
So glad to see you are back!! We missed you!🤗
Awesome job! Nice to see you back
Good to see you back and nice to see you working on an older car.
