I wish that I were more adept with electronics because I would try to find a way to develop a solution to make the cards work forever on the newer windows versions.
@@jamesrogers991 yes I know I was hoping on trying to find a system like urs to use the cards or floppy’s to usb because it would help so much because embroidery machines are very expensive
Thanks for the video. Are you able to run the d-Card on Windows 10? If so, is it 64 bit or 32 bit Windows 10? I watched both this video and the video of you getting the 4D software to run on Windows 10. I've got the older version of the software (3D Organizer) and I have it running on Windows 10 as well. However, I don't have the 64 bit driver for the d-Card reader/writer, and so Windows won't recognize the device properly. I was just wondering if there was a separate 64 bit driver installation for that as well.
Thanks so much for this. I've been fighting to get my 3D software to work (ended up being able to get the software to work, but it wouldn't communicate with my d-Card reader). I DID find out that Husqvarna Viking provides a FREE copy of the 5D Organizer software though! Here's the link: www.husqvarnaviking.com/Support/Complimentary-Software and then you go to the bottom of the page, choose the download link for either PC or Mac, then create an account if you don't have one already, and then download (for Windows) "5D™ Embroidery Machine Communication for WINDOWS® XP & Vista" - I found that this works perfectly in Windows 10 as well. The title doesn't sound like the whole software, but if you look at the details, it includes 5D organizer and 5D quick font. Just thought you might like to know, you can get a free upgrade. :) I'll post this on the comments on your other video so if anyone else has problems with the d-Card they can try it too.
James.... Encouraging to see you writing to the D-Card. Is that Windows 10? While I get the telltale beeps when plugging in the card, I'm unable to send to machine (Error. No d-card Reader/Writer is connected). Any tips or tricks to get the card reader recognized?

I have put a video showing how to upload the files from a windows 10 machine. It uses hus and vp3 files. It is a reliable machine and I got good use out of it. It depends on what you want to embroidery, but certainly I enjoyed using it.
I was things of buying an older machine because of the price and they don’t use a dongle they use cards thank u 🙏

I think the HD1 uses a different way of downloading the files so I don’t think it can be used with the HD1.

I think that I found the drivers online on the SVP site. Singer Viking Pfaff.
What computer software are you using for 4d- d/card reader/writer?
I downloaded the highest compatible version from the website. I think it was 5.
When I down load to the d- card it say all designs be deleted from d-card. What am I during wrong ?
If I remember correctly, you need to select the files to be pushed each time.
Once file are on the d-card and loaded can they be erased?
Yes, the d-card works as a standard drive and can be updated as many times as possible.

@@katherinebonner1284 Sorry for being unclear. It will store many files. You can delete and add files individually without erasing the existing files.
