It breaks my heart that she is so forgotten. Kids react to Shania Twain and Faith Hills videos, Deana Carter, but seem entirely oblivious to Lari. I mean only 66 comments here? That is absurd. She was as talented as any of them. I'm convinced that there would be far more views and comments if people knew who she was. They would be hooked instantly. Same thing with Holly Dunn. Died two years apart and both were forgotten for the most part before their passing. Radio never gave either the attention they justly deserved.

I honestly don't know who was any better looking than Lari White. Absolutely classic beauty. Her voice and overall talent, truly phenomenal. I mean she was a classically trained pianist. Great song writer. Exceptional voice. Brilliant live performer. Nashville and Country Radio, not to mention her inept Record labels all severely dropped the ball on her. She could have been and deserved to be one of the biggest Stars of the 90's.
I loved this lady so much. I mean Loved her! To me she should have been just as big as Shania Twain, or at least Faith Hill. I loved Shania, and Deana Carter as well don't get me wrong, but vocally it's no contest as far as I'm concerned. Lari's voice is just above anybody's. Her Steppin' Stone Album in '98 was loaded with huge hit songs that her label just let fall by the way side. I'm convinced that "You Can't Go Home Again", "This is Love" and "You Can't Take that From Me" would have all been top 5 hits, if not number 1's. Signature songs and none were released as singles. That album was more than good enough that it should have been Triple Platinum. She was also hurt by a lack of videos and got pregnant for a second time when she was about to go back out on tour. The title track despite no video was a pretty big hit for her, but I never hear it played anymore. I never hear any of her songs on country radio. It makes me bitter. She deserves much better.

I remember when she sang on the Atlanta Gaither Homecoming concert I believe in 2000. She really could sing. This is 1 of my favorite songs. I have always loved it. It takes me back to a simpler time in my life.
I saw Lari as a warmup act for Martina McBride about 10 or 15 years ago. I remember thinking, "Boy, can she sing", just letting go and giving her all. So sad she's no longer with us.
