One of the best performances of this piece I've heard, with a much better tempo than most pianists play it. This piece is very subtle and needs time to speak.
Stanislav Bunin is a phenomenally artistic musician, with enormous capacity to project the music~~~ as it inhabits him while he is playing! So unabashed, natural, and passionate, his extensive virtuosity always used in the service of his music. Such genius. Why did you leave us?
Beautiful! I'm hearing this famous work afresh, and discovering the myriad beauties in it, so often lost in the rush of faster tempo performances. Lyrical, poetic, dramatic - wonderful interpretation! Thank you!
I really like this interpretation, even better than Rubinstein's interpretation, which is saying a lot because usually Rubinstein's interpretations of Chopin are the Gold Standard.I really like the tempo and the dynamics on this one.
Your question made me revisit. A lot to like and a lot not to like. Generally a beautiful sound, excellent sourdine, and marvelous counterpoint moments. An erratic willful approach to tempo and a lot of circus. Lots of antics. More willful and self-imposing than I think is tasteful on such a fine piece so carefully notated. Do I like it? Mostly.
That's what I call lyricism. ❤️
Every each one of note is beautiful.

Meravigliosi Chopin e Bunin. Ciao
Beautiful playing.

Bravo ! I love his interpretation. Thank you uploading.
I really like the tempo, many pianists tend to play this too fast, there is a lot of music gettig lost when it is played too fast.
Same and added bonus I can play it at this tempo
3:57 that sound freaked me out in the middle of the night
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW kkkk
I’ll have to think about this.
Yes?

3:11 he anticipated the climax far too much forte
