As far as I know, taekwondo could be practiced in many different ways. Choose your club wisely. You can practice sportiv form, wich emphasis on combat and making quick kicks, balance, stamina, stance... for scoring. You can practice traditional way, which emphasis on poomse, philosophy, lifestyle, attitude... You can practice for representation where you have to be flexible, quick, perfect execution... And there is probably lots of other way to practice, and you probably mix them. I've seen clubs where they focus on combat, others where it's like a gym-taekwondo club. There's no such thing as "a pure practice". But there's fantasy around what martial arts are.
it was so cool and amazing. I always wanted to learn marshall arts but didn't know witch one . now i think 🤔 i can learn karate. anyway all of them are epic.
It depends on the fighter in karate they are teaching you how to avoid critical hits and how to be less damaged during the fight. If you are fighting 3 dudes of course that someone will land a hit on you but you can avoid that and be less damaged.
Interesting stuff. Let's not forget Jiu Jitsu: kicks, locks, punches, strikes, throws, hold downs, ground work....I do this and Tae Kwon Do and, together, you're covered for most eventualities.
I am unfamiliar with Karate and kung fu, but as someone who has practiced Tae Kwon-Do for a decade, I have some corrections for you. First, the style you are referring to is a competitive style, which was created in 1971 while COMPLETELY ignoring the traditional style fully recognized in 1955 when the South Korean army started using it back in 1946. Second, Tae Kwon-Do is inspired by Karate (along with other Korean martial arts over a thousand years old). Third, the title of the teacher changes depending on their rank. The one you mentioned in the video is the title of a 4th-6th Dan (black belt degree). Other than that, organizations recognize whatever degree you are worldwide (assuming that you are staying in the same style). As for the "schools" or organizations, the traditional style is called the International Tae Kwon-Do Federation (ITF for short), and the competitive/Olympic style is called the World Tae Kwon-Do Federation. Enjoy the learning.

Kung Fu is not a word that refers to a single martial art. It literally translates to "Practice" in Chinese, and refers to hundreds of ancient Chinese martial arts of all kinds. The founder of Taekwondo was a Korean karate practitioner, and the founder of karate was a Ryukyuan kung-fu practitioner.
kung-fu was actually started by farmers, farmers who needed to protect their land, then later on some farmers practiced more, and made it an art, and they became monks.
When you get into an actual fight. Its Karate and Judo that are used for self defense. Kung Fu is used for kata exercise and Tae Kwon Do is for kicking exercise. 😊😊😊😊

Let me help you: Kara-te Jitsu (Tou-Di Jutsu) was formed in Okinawa and was also heavily Chinese influenced. It's over 900 years old. The father of modern Kara-te is Ankoh Itousu. Gichin Funakoshi was a junior student of his when he was sent to Japan around 1924. The Japanese urged him to alter what he did to fit into their xenophobic culture, essentially eliminating many of the original techniques and even changing the names of the Katas, as there were still longstanding hostilities between Japan and China. Go Ju Ryu (Naha-Te), Shorin Ryu (Shuri-te), and Matsumura Orthodox (Tomari-Te) are their main 3 systems. The original names were the names of the capitol cities of the 3 kingdoms of Okinawa before they were unified by King Sho Hashi. The movements are more circular and flowing as compared to their Japanese descendants: Shotokan, Shoinkan, Kyukoshin, etc, their movements have lower stances, and are much more linear and rigid, but still effective.
But was it 'heavily' Chinese influenced? I mean the early form of Wushu didn't even have side kicks and back kicks. If you are talking about influence French Savate influenced Karate the most.

From those three I would say taekwondo is least effective for self defense because of too much kicking. Whenever you throw a kick you risk going off balance.
