Great video. I went to the De La Salle in the late sixties. The Deela. We would be marched down to St Canice's two by two to confess our sins to the priest in those confession boxes. Scary! My mum worked for years in Everite jewellers next to super Quinn I used to get a little summer job there when I was in school putting the stuff in the window in the morning and writing up the watch repairs and putting them in little brown envelopes. Love the closing picture of the dog that used to live on the hill opposite Premier Dairies. An Irish tenor such as Frank Patterson or John McCormick would have dignified this.
I'll keep that in mind for part 2... thank you.
@16;57 wonder what year that was anybody have any idea or even a guss
I have asked so many people over the years and it has caused much debate, (and arguments) so, to be honest..... we don't have a clue. I'm even afraid to hazard a guess.
I’d say 50/60’S looking at the Cars,
Where was The Finglas Inn?? Xx
What country?
Beautiful Ireland as it was,
part 2?
Still working on it Damien, - I changed many aspects of Part 2 after having conversations with senior citizens over the past couple of years. A lot of the older folk in Finglas moved here from surrounding areas, so I'm trying to expand the location of the images (by request) ..... but at the same time keep it Finglas based. - No time of arrival yet, stay tuned. Thanks.
