Fun fact: Yunjin used to train with some of the aespa members like winter and ningning..she used to be roommates with winter and she also trained with some of the new jeans members…she is super close with hanni, she used to do hanni’s eyeliner makeup for evaluations during their trainee days….by the way Yunjin used to be a pledis trainee(under hybe seventeens company) she represented pledis during the produce 48 days.

For ep 2, it’s necessary for that kind of training. She isn’t being mean, she’s setting them up for a good future. That trainer is really sweet but can be serious when it’s needed, criticism is important, even if it sounds “mean”.

15:24 You’re thinking of Garam who left after they had already debuted. This was Haruka, a trainee under HYBE who they had planned to debut, but later changed. Also, if the framing of the girls seems weird it’s cuz they’re trying to crop out Garam cuz this was put out after she left HYBE, so they can’t use any image of her anymore

14:06 "They weren't trainees in HYBE" - Oh, but they were - _after_ they were invited. Experienced idols or not, they were basically stripped down to trainee status, going through the whole process again, as you see later. This is one of the important reasons of the "fearless" concept.
14:51 "That happened this soon?!?" - You heard about Haruka? That's odd - she is mostly only mentioned in this documentary, and in R U Next? competition later. Did you maybe confuse her with Garam, who was made to sit out of the group two weeks after debut, and then dropped by HYBE a bit later? Garam was cropped out of this documentary, likely because HYBE did not have the rights to her image any more, given her now non-celeb status; but you can see her hand or hair in a couple of shots throughout the documentary.
25:22 "I'm assuming each company has different priority" - Yes. They all think about all of those things and more, but they weigh them a bit differently. E.g. while every K-pop company must value visuals to one degree or another, RBW debuted several people who would have a hard time debuting in other companies for not fitting into Korean Beauty Standards. JYP explicitly looks for personality first; he believes talent can be refined, personality cannot. Etc. Also, the bigger companies can afford to be pickier, and so set higher standards.
1:33:42 "They were HYBE's first girl group?" - Yes and no. GLAM was formed by Big Hit, before they rebranded as HYBE Labels. GFRIEND and Fromis_9 were acquired by HYBE. Le Sserafim was the first girl group _formed_ in HYBE. NewJeans was also formed in HYBE, but they debuted some month and a half later.
1:43:46 "I love their personalities" - This is exactly why they are one of my ult groups, along with Dreancatcger

1:04:20 They’re not telling them how to eat. They’re saying they can provide the means for them to diet during promotions. However, Sakura rebuttals by saying she doesn’t want them to stress over a company provided diet plan, so the girls themselves will figure out their own diet plans and the company seemed to agree. Also, Korea in general has high beauty standards. Adding to that, Koreans fans are really toxic, like to the extent of switching from being a huge fan to being a total hater just for a member gaining even a little weight

hope you wont mind for this long analysis of EASY 'Good Bones' you may delete too 😅 i felt annoyed too cause it's a really long post
It begins with a scene of a basketball in a plastic bag.
This reminded the fans of Michael Jordan's famous "Maybe it's my fault" commercial. This commercial features the following phrases, which are related to 'EASY'. Maybe it's my own fault. Maybe I led you to believe it was easy when it wasn't.
It means "Maybe I gave you the impression that this was easy when it actually wasn't" with that, the commercial tells us that Michael Jordan's genius and success, which might've seemed easy for him to achieve, were actually created by endless passion, countless failures, and efforts of every single day.
So it was basically saying that Jordan's success may seem like it was easily achieved, but it actually wasn't easy.
The trailer video for LE SSERAFIM's 3rd mini album [EASY], titled 'Good Bones', was also conveying the same message.
    [Good Bones]
There is a reason why the title of the trailer video is 'Good Bones'.
According to LE SSERAFIM's agency, this new trailer video by LE SSERAFIM was inspired by the poem 'Good Bones' by American poet Maggie Smith, 'Good Bones' is also a term used by real estate agents in English-speaking countries when they introduce a house. It means that even if a house looks bad on the outside, it's fine on the inside, and it can become a good house if the person who moves in decorates it well. Maggie Smith used this expression when writing the poem 'Good Bones'. The poem tells kids that the world is "Good Bones" even though life is short and half of the world is terrible and that the other half is up to you, depending on how you decorate. If you listen to the members' narration in LE SSERAFIM's trailer 'Good Bones' you can see that it tells the same message as Michael Jordan's "Maybe it's my fault" commercial and Maggie Smith's poem 'Good Bones'. The phrases "We're all gonna die eventually and half of our life will be in pain. The other half depends on what we do." remind us of Maggie Smith's poem 'Good Bones', and the phrase "Because I've made it look easy" reminds us of Michael Jordan's "Maybe it's my fault" commercial. And the members in the video look like they've walked difficult paths with confidence.
[EASY] Sakura, who has debuted 3 times as an idol, says "Are you upset that I seized another opportunity?"
Chaewon, who has had nothing but success as an idol from IZ*ONE to LE SSERAFIM, says "Are you mad that only I get lucky all the time?"
Eunchae, who has been a beloved maknae since the moment she debuted, "Do you think the world is going easy only on us?"
Yunjin, who honestly expressed her opinion and desire on 'Produce 48', says "You think it’s okay to degrade someone just because they’re true to themselves?"
Kazuha, who instantly turned from a pro-level ballerina to a popular girl group member, says "Are you saying that lucky people deserve to get run down?" With just a few words, some people belittle all the efforts that the members have made to get to where they are now.
Just as Maggie Smith's 'Good Bones' reads, "...for every kind stranger, there is one who would break you....", Yunjin deliberately bumps into Chaewon's shoulder as she walks by her. But Chaewon just looks at Yunjin for a moment and walks forward again, as if any words that try to bring her down are useless.
Yunjin picks up an empty cup from the ground and drinks from it. Fans say that it reminds them of the ability to "fill anything", which she mentioned in an interview in the past. Yunjin's walk seems to show the confidence of someone who has actually achieved their dream. Yunjin's cup could be seen as the dream or goal that LE SSERAFIM has achieved.
Eunchae, who takes over the cup, walks forward confidently and ends up falling down the stairs but pretends to be fine. Fans say that it seems to represent the foolish things that the narrator secretly did without her children knowing in Maggie Smith's poem 'Good Bones' and also, the reality of idols who may end up falling into the abyss if they take a wrong step even for a second.
Despite this, LE SSERAFIM continues to walk forward bravely. Kazuha, who appears next, has one wing missing. In the MV for the previous album's title track 'Unforgiven', Kazuha pulled out her burning wing with her own hand.
Sakura is lying in a neglected flower garden, looking tired. At one point during Sakura's narration, she says that she realized all too soon that half of our lives will be in pain.
Sakura debuted as an idol when she was even younger than Chaewon, and she has spent half of her life as a glamorous idol. Lying on her back, Sakura looked tired, but when she gets up and starts walking confidently, she doesn't look tired. In the previous trailer video, 'Burn the Bridge', Sakura said that there was a path she wanted to pursue behind the door. And in this trailer video, 'Good Bones', she shatters multiple walls with lasers coming out of her eyes, as if it was no big deal.
However, Sakura's nose starts bleeding, Fans who saw this video interpreted that Sakura's path may seem easy, but she just never showed the tiring and difficult work.
Chaewon, who flew on an absurd light and did a cool dunk, looks down as if she'd easily scored, while her basketball that had gone through the tough process of scoring, which took effort, passion, and ambition, was completely hidden in a plastic bag.
    [Make easy]
The last logo of the trailer video is an English phrase that says "Make easy" with the words in the middle hidden. If you read the whole phrase including the hidden words, it says "Make it look easy".
Not only LE SSERAFIM, but also many idols have to go through fierce competition to debut, and even after their debut, they put in a lot of effort behind the stage to show fans and the public beautiful and perfect stage performances.
However, people who only see their glamorous appearance on stage or in photo shoots may belittle the efforts behind the idols' glamor, saying "It was all handed to them." But, like idols who seem the most glamorous, wonderful, and enjoyable on stage, LE SSERAFIM says
Like Michael Jordan's comment: Maybe I destroyed the game or maybe you're just making excuses.
This 'EASY' analysis not mine, i copied all this 😅😆

the subtitles are completely fucked during that argument between sakura and management, to the point where it has to be intentional. the company wants to put the members on a meal plan if they deem any of them overweight, and sakura says she wants the team to be in control of their own diets and the company to stay out of it, that each member is willing to diet without restricting the other's access to food.
