I've actually been wanting to upload this for some time, & since the man just won an Oscar, I figured now would be good. So, even if it's just his shoulder or shoe in frame, heres every time Sgt. Stone (Brendan Fraser) is on screen in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. So why exactly is Brendan Fraser even in the movie anyway, if his role is so brief? Well, read the description to see why.
Nice little cameo! The story about how he got the small role was great too. He definitely should've been a main character but I'm glad he's back in the business, he's a good actor and many of his earlier films where a part of my childhood. The Mummy was one of my favorites
Seriously though, I really wish he was a main character. I was expecting him to have a fight scene with Arnold Vosloo's Zartan & go full on with the ultimate nod to The Mummy. I mean Zartan & several others literally attack the base a few minutes after Fraser's Sgt. Stone walks off. But he just dissappears. He still got a toy of him made thought, despite the minimal screen time XD There where some rumors of him playing Gung-Ho, one of the core characters of the og G.I. Joe cartoon, but he said there were copyright issues. I don't know how that would've played into the "cameo role" thing. Maybe it was the difference between cameo and non-cameo, but I don't know. I've also never seen Brendan Fraser say this himself, it was just reported that he did, so I don't even know if it's true. The info about the story I wrote in the description all came right out of Fraser's mouth in an interview, so I know that bit is definite at least. Same here, I watched movies like Journey to the Center of the Earth and the Mummy dozens of times growing up!
@@Blotzwave That would have been so cool to see especially since it would've been a nod to their previous works. Oh yeah Journey was pretty good too. I also really enjoyed a lot of his earlier comedies like Encino Man and Airheads, the remake of Bedazzled was also a guilty pleasure as well lol
Everyone in the theater went “oh Brendan Fraser!!” We hadn’t seen him in so long. My family talked his cameo as a highlight of the whole movie. So even at 45 SECONDS of screen time, he leaves That much of an impact. I hope we get to see more of him now.

Looney tunes back in Action and George of the Jungle.
I swear I remembered him having more screen time than he actually had
Sadly the training scene was his only scene

At least he got an action figure
Rick O'Connell and Lock-Nah on the same team 😅
LOL YEAH LOKENARRR
Brendan Fraser looks so hot in his GJ Joe suit😎🔥
Wish he had a bigger role in this movie.
The fact BF rides up on the ATV….classic! BF is the man! Glad they made him Sgt Stone, even if it was only a brief cameo.
Growing up I thought he was playing Flint.
Oh my.
I like to think Brandon Fraser heard they were making a GI Joe movie and just showed up one day in his Flint cosplay. : )
I'm not a gijoe fan but brendan stole the ahow
