Viper is Set-Neck though.. (From ESP Catalogs) And I'd say that the Gibby also has an Ebony fretboard, have never seen such black rosewood.. And ESP is overall better quality.
Sorry to say this, but at any ESP Site that shows the Camo or any other standard Viper it says Set-Neck (Some being Set-Thru after 2006) And the Gibson is a SG Robot Special with an Ebony Fretboard. Also says that everywhere..
well at least it has to be set-thru . i'm owning a 2003 viper camo and it has either set-thru or neck-thru . always thought it was a real neck-thru , but thanks for clarifying this ;) . don't even know any specs about the robot SG , but ebony on a special is kinda awesome .
+Loneheart42 Neck-thru guitars are very easy to spot. Manufacturers really like making the main neck piece a different color than the wings, usually by using multiple-ply necks to give a striped look. Set-thru guitars you can usually tell because they look more or less like one giant piece.
i like both pickups sets about the same. i mean they sound a bit different but i like how they sound together in a mix anyway
Headstock binding on the SG looks so goddamn sick..
great vid as always
2:41 song name?
Great stuff!
wait wait wait,,, you put it through an Axe FX ultra then pick it up with a $100 sm57???

what tune and string you use in this test?
D and drop C. Strings - I forgot. But nothing expensive
Soulfly Tribe! Hey man there's too many strings on that Viper lol. Max only uses 4.
Viper sounds lot more like Les Paul, not like SG.
