Awesome job Steve looks great, For your best but play with some pie cuts, they are a great way to get the angles you want and they are easy to make from a straight piece of pipe :)
Cheers Dan! Yeah, I was fixated on making the stock bends work. A few pie cuts would've def helped
wow i am impressed, i didn't think you were going to get the shape out of what you had without the little short mummy wrap cuts for the tight bends, you got some skills......
Steve, you've outdone yourself as always. I thought the first version of the exhausts was a smooth but this is outstanding. Its the little details like that bracket that make your builds as great as they are. Looking forward to the next ep!
Cheers Tom, really nice to hear!
Amazing work man I've been contemplating doing this on my cb360. You make it seem much less daunting haha. I've also got a triumph scrambler which I put beetle tailpipes on lol. (permanently borrowed from my 73 bug 🙈)
Good stuff I like how you really explain your thought process and don't just time lapse it.
It actually helps me figure out what I'm doing..... Some people hate it! Actually had a conversation with Dan over at Cafe Racer Garage last week pondering over whether we should just shut the f--- up 😀. Probably won't happen.... Cheers!
@@Beachmangarage Good. I watch both of you and have learned a lot.
when I was a kid we used to use those vw stingers or pea shooters as you called em, as the replacement expansion chamber stinger for our 2-stroke European motocross bikes, those chrome stingers looked so cool on the end of our Bultaco and CZ chambers and they quieted the bikes down just enough to get by without costing any noticeable HP. Sadly they were only good for 1 maybe 2 days of racing on a 2-stroke but they were dirt cheap so we just had a new one welded on every week.....lol
Lol. I hope mine last longer than a day!
oh your will definitely last longer then a day, as long as you don't run 28:1 petroleum heavy pre-mix in your bike, that's why ours didn't last, with our old smokey 2-strokes and especially with the oil I ran, Bardahl smelled so cool but it smoked so bad that when i pulled back into my pit after the first moto, the packing in the stinger would already be so saturated with oil that it would literally be dripping out the end of the pipe. I do have to say something though, unless you do something to make a contrast, your pea shooters won't have near the same wow factor as they did on our bikes. everybody knows that one of the things that make 2-stokes look so cool is the way the chamber sensuously curves up or down around the the sleek looking 2-stroke motor. so when see a gorgeous looking red and silver bultaco pursang with an almost erotic looking black curvy expansion chamber coming out from under the engine and right when it curves to its narrowest point you see a beautifully contrasting chrome stinger sticking out there proud and erect....lol
Nice job, you made that look easy.
To be honest, I wasn't sure at the beginning, but glad it worked out. Cheers!
Very nice exhaust 👍 can't wait to hear what she sounds like
Meeee Tooooo! Cheers!
Thanks for all the helpful information! Your videos make our current build not so daunting! Sharing the series on FB!
I think the offset tips you ended up with look even better
Good to know. Thanks!
Very well done man! Impressive. The fix at the end made the difference. Excellent job!
Thanks Sean! Yeah, glad I went back to it. Would've bugged me forever :)
Props to you, this looks so so good and using the old bits is inspiring for my CB360 build! You've earned a subscriber!
Cheers David! Thanks for watching
Great job man! Can't wait to see your ideas on heat shields you're gonna need! Really cool look!
Lol what heat shields 😀... Really thick pants..... You're right, will probably need something though..... Cheers!
Wow dude, turned out great, so much better than the two into one exhaust!
Thanks Richard! Yeah, glad I gave it a shot
Wow!Best looking exhaust ever..... thanx for the video! The bike starting looking soo good...
Cheers friend! Yah, I'm stoked to get it all buttoned up!
Now that’s much better! That’s what I hoped you would originally do. It’s your bike and I didn’t really want to say it before, but the previous arrangement was VERY ugly. This has style! Love the VW pea shooters. They finish the pipes wonderfully. Oh Nice!!
Les in UK.
Thanks..... I think :) JK Cheers Les!
Nice! Gonna be load!
Cheers Wayne!
I love this.
Awesome! Thanks!
Looks great!
Thanks friend!
Good job Steve 😁🤘, but can i ask what is the purpose of the double wall pipe on the headers ? as surely its restricting flow ?
Cheers dude 🤘🤘🤘
I believe it came that way from the factory. The double wall stopped the chrome from discoloring. I just stick a tack weld here and there to stop any potential rattles.
@@Beachmangarage cheers dude 🤘🤘
what about all those sections of the inner wall from the dual wall?
Hey are you putting mufflers on this one. Try looking on GEEK . Com. They have cheap mufflers on the site
Will have a look. Thanks!
Hello sir. Do you have for sale?
Wraping the pipe is just lazy, easy way to hide inperfection. You can do better then that!
Challenge accepted! 👍
