The first week I had my Harsh Reality ball, I bowled a new personal best game (252), and a new high series (691, 230, 232, & 229), in league bowling. My average has increased from about 160, to 187, and I’m bowling at least one or more 200+ games each league night now (bowling in 3 leagues). I think that’s not bad for a 68 year old guy, who just started bowling again after a 35+ year gap, due to back injuries. For me, the Harsh Reality is a great ball. Edit: A few weeks after getting my Harsh Reality, I also purchased a new Hammer Black Widow 3.0, and within the first two weeks of getting it drilled, I bowled another new personal best score of 280! Yep, spare in the 2nd frame and all of the other frames were strikes, and to top it off, I started the next game with two strikes, for a total of 12 strikes in a row between those two games. I alternate using my Harsh Reality, and my Black Widow 3.0 as the first ball out of my bag, and I'm happy with both of those new balls, but I did notice a significant difference in my scores with the Harsh Reality, once it had built up some "Lane Shine", so I now clean the oil from all of my balls after each use, and about every 10 games, I lightly resurface the Harsh Reality, to try to get it back to the out of the box performance. I'm really enjoying bowling again, and with these two new balls, an occasional lesson from the local pro shop owner, and watching instructional bowling videos on RUclips, I believe that I might finally get my first 300 game in the not to distant future. Not bad for an old fart with a bad back.
Appreciate the honest and unbiased reviews! Along with the Specto data! Really underrated and wish more channels used it. Crazy we got a first trash ball rating haha. Will you guys be doing the Black Widow 3.0?
I also love the unbias reviews here unlike most the other channels saying how great every ball is showing only thier strike shots and to use their code to buy the ball only to be disappointed once you get it. You see the good, bad and the ugly here, keep up the good reviews.
Nice video! I am a lefty, 17.2-18.2 mph on the monitor and around 375rpm, but I don't have Specto. My roll is very similar to Derek (on a good day for me) I can average 235 if I am matched up to the lane with the correct ball (bowling is hard 😂) i think the Harsh Reality may need heavier volume to behave more consistent for folks with more revs. Great information. Thank you.... subscribed. I look forward to seeing what's next
This is first time I’ve watched your videos. I have to say that this is one of the best, if not the best ball videos that I’ve seen. The comparison and info is amazing, especially the 50+ games makes the OG Reality a pearl. Wow! Mind blown. Keep doing what you’re doing 👍🏻😁🇬🇧
It was a great video. But found the leftys review to be horrid. He threw the strongest of the 3 to the dead friction. If you miss on it of course its gonna burn up what little energy it has and puke and when you rip it and put it into the dry your gonna see it turn quick. Likewise when he threw the magic gem he was far more inside compared to the harsh. you heard him quite a few times throwing the harsh say oh my god off his hand knowing he threw it bad. If you put the harsh in more volume I have a feeling it would have rolled much better for him. Just my opinion. If you look at the girl she was far more consistent with her targeting of a variation of maybe 2-4 boards whereas the guys target ranged from 4-10 board difference. I think the review gives some merit but i feel like he had way too much variance with how much he lofted and loss speed of hand and with how much he played it dead into the friction compared to the magic gem and Pi. Keep these coming but i think showing the targeting line on all shots would serve more value. I think his shots were sporadic on the lane and his ball reaction showed it. Even a few of the magic gem shots looked bad.
Thanks for watching and the feedback! Most of the balls get tested at OOB finish, because we figure that is how most viewers will first use it. In our stores, the strong majority of customers don’t change the surface at all before throwing a new ball purchase.

Thanks so much! Yes! That and Scorpion Low Flare should be out this week!

Excellent. You shine a new light on ball reaction with the speed loss concept. I really appreciate this approach - it is an eye-opener!

Some great observations, I agree…
Thanks for the Pi comparison
Thank you for tuning in.
I have to criticize just a bit. Why? For Katey the Harsh was out of box...the Reality and Absolute Power looked like they a fair amount of lane shine.

nose ring bowling reviews!!!!😛
Definitely about matching up. I didn't like the Reality.
harsh reality or the gem?
Harsh Reality no good for me either.
