@@katiebee266 'Great' as in we got rid of Ashley et al and bought some decent players during the January window. We were bottom at Christmas and pretty much everyone had written us off yet we could finish mid table, ohh and we have Owners that believe in NUFC and their fans.
I don’t think many seasons can beat this one the unity we have shown as a fan base is amazing
@@katiebee266 I'm saying about our unity this season because we were all fed up of Steve Bruce football with an owner who didn't care about us and neglected us for years. And our place in the league doesn't matter all that matters is that we are proud of supporting our club again and we have actually been shown a stable side that can improve under Eddie Howe. We 'moaned' about the manager because we hadn't won a game in our first 14 matches and it looked almost certain that we would be relegated. But since Howe has come under our new owners he has actually done something about it instead of making shitty excuses like Bruce did. And no fans are saying the champions league or winning the Prem, we are just saying we are on the edge of a bright future as a football club when for the past 14 years we have been a team that has sucked the life out of it's fanbase because of the shocking lack of investment by Mike Ashley.
@@katiebee266 Your missing the point of what I'm saying, I'm saying that we unified after the takeover and have been since. And the protests were uniting people in pushing Mike Ashley further and further into selling the club (which worked)
@@katiebee266 Before the takeover technically we were all united against Ashley. And never compare Steve Bruce to Alan Shearer and Rafa. Rafa was employed with one of the worst squads in the last decade (other than Wijnaldum) and Shearer had never been a manager before with only 8 games left to save us. Shearer was a club legend who was given the short end of the stick and Rafa was given one of the worst Newcastle teams in recent memory and brought us back up then secured us as a 10-13th place team with some dipping seasons due to lack of financial support. Bruce was had no sympathy with the fans and was tactically inept. He was also given a lot more to spend then Rafa and shearer didn't even have a transfer window to try and sign players. Bruce was an idiotic manager who acted like he had no faults. And I'm sure you would not want Ashley or Bruce at your club.
@@katiebee266 Have you just ignored what I just said 💀 Shearer had only 8 games to pull out and wasn’t given a chance to do anything after that and Rafa had the worst Newcastle team in a while. I agree shearer wasn’t the guy to go with but he only retired 3 years prior and had no experience the only reason he did it is because his club needed a manager. And are you saying I should just stop supporting my club because they are 12th in the league ?

The connection and gratitude between both parties here is amazing. I honestly don't know who are more appreciative - the playing staff and owners or the fans.
How do you go from an owner that was so lambasted and despised and a club so totally devoid of hope and pride.... to this? And in only 8 months? Its staggering.
Oh, and the performance from the fans before the game was something else, can't say I have ever seen that in the Premier league. It was absolutely amazing.
The owners love us and we love them for not giving up on us, the players love us as we love them, Eddie understands and lives the team and club who believe in him…..
