Love your videos and it was great to see this one because it’s where we live ! You should come up when there are lots of activities and festivals in the summer .
Great video Barry and a nice villag away from the tourists. How refreshing it is to see no graffitti at all and everything spotlessly clean and cared for. Looking forward to your next broadcast.😀👍
Beautiful, Always remember to add 10% on top for total costs with tax and fees, could be better off buying land and getting a prefabricated home, you can get them built for as cheap as 20,000 euro
Barry another great video, watching from a dreich Lanark but over again in a fortnight. I am a bit like you, I like to explore , my wife less so, and now we have a car can go further. Two years after buying a townhouse in Punta Prima I don't think we caould afford it now. A small, new build, sea front apartment in Punta Prima starts at 300K euros and next to our community an old house was demolished and four new houses have been built at 500K euros plus. Now at 68 I could not face a refurbishment project having done two over the last 5 years but what about you and Karen taking one on. I bet the subscribers would increase.
Hi, great video and info. One question from a fellow RUclipsr, what is the tax rate for a one man business there in Spain? I believe you have mentioned it long time ago, and that they call it 'autonomo' or something like that? I am considering relocation and am curious what I would pay in taxes there if I work from home, blogging and youtubing... thank you!
Hi there! When you’re autónomo, “self employed”, in Spain you pay your social security and your taxes separately. Your autonomo or “social security” is paid monthly and now it’s recently changed so it’s tiered dependent on your annual income. People will give you figures and say that’s what it is but please do look at official websites and get idea of what you actually pay. It varies per region and it varies within the first couple of years as well. It’s far too complex to give anyone an accurate figure. Your tax is paid quarterly. A good ball park figure to set aside every month is 19-20% of your income for taxes and social security. The good thing is pensions are better in Spain plus you will have already contributed in the UK towards your state pension (I’m assuming) so you are also entitled to that. There is an agreement about pensions and tax in place between the UK and Spain so these things are aggregated. Please do look into it properly because I often see people giving out ball park figures which are quite frankly wrong. It does depend on your circumstances. Thanks for watching ~ Karen.
That wheely bin is a wheel barrow Barry…liking the videos,, very informative but I feel by the time we have enough funds to buy property in Spain the prices will be out of reach for us…
OK so a property for sale in Spain. But where & for how much. Yes the village was quiet & well kept but I found it bare & probably was baking hot and the views were not to die for.
Thank you very much for the video. I hope you are applying sunscreen on your face, head and neck. I can't help but worry about it. I guess is the nurse in me. lol.
Like I said in the comment that has been deleted these properties are nothing more than a money pit.Had to laugh at your pronunciation of ferreraria.JAJAJAJJA

We are in Barcelona suburb...you could eat off the streets...no rubbish or fly tipping !!
Muligatawny soup was invented for the English palate.....or tomato as you accurately described it.
Love both the Hondons. The other one de las Nieves has a fantastic Bodega.

It's about 340 Euro a month...it's unfair as you have to pay even if no or little work or income for some months !
