    Hooo--ahhhh !!! Beautiful shop ;)
    I haven't finished watching the whole video yet, but will in a minute. When did you shoot this video? (as in what year)
    A few questions to start with, maybe additional Q's later;
    1) How do you plan to power your table saw? Drop down power from the ceiling, or do you have a flushmount outlet in the floor?
    2) Do you have plans to seal the bottom of the wainscoting at the concrete floor?
    3) What style/type of building do you call that ? (I'm in the Pacific Northwest...Washington). We have "pole buildings", post-frame buildings", "conventional stick buildings".
    4) Is the outside of your new shop metal-roofed & metal sided, or is it a composition shingle roof & wood sided?
    5) I'm curious what you're coming up with for a multi-station dust collection system.
    6) Got any plans to control humidity ?
    7) LOOKIN' FORWARD TO YER ANSWERS TO THE ABOVE Q'S.........AS WELL AS AN UPDATE WITH YER MOVIN' IN AND SETTING UP STATIONS, ETC !

    Nicely done. Life goals. I can only imagine how much effort went in to it to get it done all on your own. Looking forward the seeing your tool setup afterwards.

    You will probably move your tools and set up a 100 plus times as tools change, space changes , jobs change and when you constantly want to improve things things never stay the same. I spent a year building a work shop to take it apart and change everything in a weekend lol. We make space to fill it then make more space.

    Are you going to address dust evacuation. My brother did a side drop in his pole barn out to the center for his table saw. He ran it up the side wall using 8" round furnace ducting. It seems to do the job. Waste gate 'Y''s for the planer and jointer and band saw. Still the cords to run these tools could be a problem underfoot. Mostly 240 or three phase stuff. Just some thoughts... Glad you're making progress. Keep up the great videos! P.S, He's in northern Wisconsin and he opted for heated floors. They stay at 60 degrees all winter. Pretty nice on those sub zero days!

    Do what Jason did on Shop Nation, 3D print all your tools and tables to 1/12 size along with your shop floor.

    Exceptionally well done - thank you for sharing. I have a similar shop - size wise - that is still a shell. I really like your metal wainscoting and the horizontal T/G pine siding. Can you share the price point of the materials for the wainscoting and T/G - trying to budget my build out. FYI - my shop is in AZ - it will be a journey. Again - thanks for sharing and well done. I have a question not related to this video, but you were so kind and quick to respond to a comment on another video, I thought I would see if you have advice on this. I am reorganizing my shop and will build a miter saw station for the first time (I have previously kept it mounted on a mobile stand). I have a 24 foot wall on which I will first position my miter saw, then utilize space on each side for other purposes. I am paralyzed trying to decide the right spacing. Any thoughts?

    • @eastcarolinawoodworks
      @eastcarolinawoodworks  2 месяца назад

      I think it all depends on your space. I would make a miter station big enough to accommodate the size material you break down. Also try to incorporate tools in the miter station that way you maximize space 🤙🏼

    We just put up a 30x50. As a fellow Carolinian, we got hit with tons of rain last week and I was sooo sad to go into our shop and see all the condensation. We have the vapor barrier on the ceiling. Did you put the insulation on your roll-ups and did the foam help prevent moisture? I don't want my building equipment to rust 😢

    • @eastcarolinawoodworks
      @eastcarolinawoodworks  8 месяцев назад +1

      I purchased insulated doors when I purchased the shop so they came that way! And yes the foam insulation helps with moisture as well as having it climate controlled 👍🏻 hope this helps!

    Thanks for the content. As an up and coming cabinet maker I have a few questions. Do you always finish your cabinets? If so what would you suggest to speed up the painting/staining process? The finishing process always takes me forever to complete.

    Shop looks great. Certainly looks like you have put a lot of time and effort it. The metal on the lower sections of the walls looks good also the T&G. Keep Pounding and I look forward to seeing your next project.

    Great looking shop, I'm looking at a metal shop and wondered what your ceiling R value is and why didn't you go with foam spray in the ceiling?

    • @eastcarolinawoodworks
      @eastcarolinawoodworks  8 месяцев назад +1

      The ceiling is just the insulation wrap and I think it might be R7. The shop came with it and I didn’t want to have to tear it out to do the ceiling. Plus it was another $12k 😳

    How did you attach the tongue and groove? It looks good!

    • @eastcarolinawoodworks
      @eastcarolinawoodworks  8 месяцев назад +1

      It wasn’t fun but had to screw nailing strips to ever single face of the metal framing. That way I could nail the tongue and groove. I wanted to quit multiple times but I’m happy I kept going because it looks awesome 🤙🏼

    Beautiful shop. I wouldn't take anybody's suggestions on how to set it up. You need to review your workflow for the various projects you do and customize the organization to minimize the travel between stations. Ideally, inbound shop door -> wood storage -> saw workbenches -> ??? -> sanding station -> finishing station -> outbound shop door. Minimize the number of times you have to travel backward.
