Now the success of Fronx will entirely depend on pricing because Nexon, Venue, Sonet, Kiger and ofcourse Punch have more competitive edge
The user's feedback is generally more reliable and is based on the actual usage. Most of the cars are sold on the basis of the feedback from fellow users. Fronx has 2 engines. One is the regular 1.2-liter engine, which is being used by Baleno and some other cars. The other engine is 1 liter turbo engine having more power. Both the cars are very good. If you have limited budget, go for 1.2-liter engine. If you intend to keep the car for about 7 to 8 years, go for 1.2-liter engine. I have been using Fronx Alpha Automatic with 1 liter turbo engine and Torque Converter based automatic function. The car is unmatched for the reason that this turbo engine is not shared by any other Maruti car, not even Grand Vitara, XL 6, Ertiga or Brezza. The average of this automatic is mindboggling. For decent budget you may also opt for Fronx delta Plus, which has many interesting features. Before buying a car take a test drive, which comes free. And believe me, customers are the real experts, who put their hard-earned money to buy the car.
Fronx Alpha automatic is an amazing car. I have been using this car for last 6 months. Fronx Alpha use the most powerful engine ever used by a Maruti built car. Even Grand Vitara, Brezza, Ertiga and XL 6 do not have such a powerful engine. Fronx has great pickup and capacity to overtake other cars. It has Torque Converter (used by 95 % cars in USA) to handle automatic functions. the average of this car is unmatched. It is solidly built and has virtually no body roll.

@@romysingla2071 Baleno and Fronx share exactly the same interior, which is extremely good. Both the cars share the same 1.2 engine which is a proven engine. Only Fronx Alpha, Zeta, with 1 liter Turbo engine have extra power, which you hardly require for city drive or occasional long drive. FRONX is costly and lower end models lack rear AC and many useful gadgets. It is only Fronx Alpha with 1 liter Turbo engine, which is game changer, With Torque converter, 6 gears, Paddle shifters etc. Normally there is no need to spend 14.65 lakh for Fronx Alpha. Buying a feature rich Baleno would be a prudent decision.
For mid variants like Delta+, for the price, Maruti should have at least provided rear AC vents and rear view Camera.
Sir, looking for automatic car for 4 with safety feature. Would you recomend Venue SO, Sonet HTX, Breeza. Nexon ?

As I was keen to replace my existing car, I took test drives of some cars, including XL-6 with Torque Converter, I-20 N line and Venue with DCT, Baleno and Dzire with AGS, Fronx Alpha MT and Fronx Alpha Automatic with Torque Converter. All the cars were driven with AC and 4 occupants in busy city traffic as well as on wide roads in city with least traffic so that car could be driven at 60 + speed. Fronx Alpha engine is the most powerful as well as most fuel efficient. Venue engine despite tall claims, gave poor show. Venue and I-20 gave 9 to 11 average whereas Fronx AT gave 16 + average in city and 19 + average on traffic free city roads. Fronx has a powerful Turbo engine as well as is extremely fuel-efficient. Overtaking was a simple and even at 1400 RPM, the engine was very supportive and responsive. The driving experience of Fronx was definitely superior. Fronx is a super silent car with almost no turbo lag. at a speed of 1400, you can feel the strength of the engine. The Torque converter has a great role in quick transfer of power at all times. driving is more comfortable and grounded as compared to Venue due to its minimal body roll.

@@AskCarGuru in city traffic you encounter cars moving at 30 to 40 kmph. FRONX is capable of overtaking other vehicles at such speed, comfortably. Happily bullock carts are not operating in my city.
I watched the first drive review of AskCarGuru, Autocar, MotorOctane. You and MotorOctane stated points regarding turbo lag and noise of the engine whereas Autocar didn't even mention that although on their website, in the in-depth review, they highlighted the points regarding 'non-turboness' of the boosterjet.
The expectations of 1.0L are shattered and Maruti needs to work on turbo engines to compete with the market.
I feel the price of Fronx will be on the higher side for top-end variants.
Rely on test drives, which give you real feedback. Reality might be different when you drive the agile and fuel efficient FRONX Turbo
Maruti is doing awesome job in design.... seriously it's under 10 and 12 lakhs cars looks very premium and expensive like 18-20 lakhs

Back in those days the common man did not understoood the advantages that they get from a Cross Over, today with this FRONX, the people will soon understand the Importance of Cross over. To be honest, if younssaid 1.2NA is worthwhile, then the same engine is there in i20 Active 1.2NA, but as the price was 9.5lacs and above, people were hesitant to buy them. Infact when the Baleno and i20 normal second to base model cost 6.45lacs ExShowroom, now when the Fronx is about to launch, when the people are about to buy, the Nexa will be putting the price tag slightly above the normal Baleno, which makes the people to think, and simultaneously reduces the Sales of it. The same happened in 2015 when the i20 Active launched, it was bit pricier.... Lets see, how much they charge for the FRONX.. Definitely for sure the Boot space is narrowed to 308litres....

Can you please compare Fronx Delta plus with a similar model of Altroz ZT or Zx model . It would be more better if performance is given importance.

1 litre engine is not enough. These days companies have started giving turbo with 1 litre to save cost. I believe minimum 1.2 litre should be there for performance.

1 L turbo only perfect match with CVT ( Kiger or Magnite)..I took a special look of Fronx engine & only after starting engine 2-3 min ..I was shocked to hear Maruti engine with sound like a Tractor ..I rejected on spot..

Aapne bataya Sonet mat lo. Par me wahi le raha hu. Venue to choti lagti hai. Aur Sonet me kuch features acche hai Venue se. Jab hoga Sonet facelift tab hoga. Par abhi to wahi value for money lag raha hai. Sonet next year hi aanewala hai. I got insider information from Hyundai Hyderabad Centre. Thank you for your suggestion.

great review. I liked the looks very much both front and back. Hope 1.2 naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine will be better and starting price under 7 lakh. Breeze 1.5 is way better, so starting price should not be more than 7 lakhs
Fronx, Brezza and Grand Vitara tested at Suzuki test facility for crash worthiness. it is 5 Star car. NCAP testing should follow soon.

I have a i20 ACTIVE SX FULL OPTION... Years back, Polo Cross, Punto Aventura , Figo Freestyle... what a old but late entry segment
All those have flopped this whole segment is risky. Even those days Baleno RS was present with the same 1.0 turbo engine. Fronx naturally aspirated 1 2 L engine should do well whereas the Turbo segment is risky.

@@secretspeaker4465 that's why I said this segment is risky. However Fronx may change it as in the video the back seat and front seat comfort matches Tata Nexon with a similar sloping roof line. Let's see I am positive Fronx 1.2 if priced lower than Brezza and Nexon will click.
@Harbinder Singh The Price lower than Nexon and Brezza, I am a bit pessimistic on that area. Definitely the current Baleno prices itself is between 6 to 8lacs range, so Fronx 7 to 10 , mostly as another option in the Compact SUV line up, BREZZA, VENUE, SONET, NEXON, PUNCH, XUV 300 etc line up
I will just wait for nexon facelift in august, or upcoming honda suv if I can stretch my budget.

Good video Amit Sir as usual. First three models of Fronx are just useless, no basic features like rear camera, rear ac vents, front and rear armrest in these variants. Only top 2 models have these but they must be expensive because of turbojet booster engine. At lest Zeta should have 1.2L natural aspirated engine which would be more value for money.
