    At 20 psi with that turbo you should be making 400-420whp. Something doesn't add up, either dyno reads extremely low (low % chance) or your tuner isn't great. Most likely you need a different tuner

    Actually surprised it only made low 300s… up until last year I had this exact set up on my Chaser and made 580whp.
    You should definitely be able to get more out of it. Your numbers can be done with stock turbo

      Yeah I think there are some compounding factors here. 1 being the Dyno dynamics unit this was tuned on reads very low. Hind site being what it is I don’t think we took it as far as we should have boost wise, plus I was starting to have a fuel pressure drop at the very top of the RPM range when I looked back at the logs.

    Thats crazy id of thought youd be well over the 400s with that setup, the 1j in my supra made 346bhp on stock turbo ct15b

      Yeah it has left me with a few questions. Dyno dynamics Dyno’s read very low so that may be a factor. It still rips which is great but a bit disappointing for from a numbers perspective.

    Loving the series man, all your parts I’ll put on my 1jz Toyota chaser.
    Will you be happy with the current 330+ hp or make it go to 400+ mark?

      Thanks man! Glad you like it. So my ego and wanting 400 is less than pleased, but the hour I drove this thing it was a blast. Taking it drifting soon to see how it changed it on track, new rear gear later this summer and we’ll see. By pure numbers it sucks but driving it is a blast so can’t be too upset.

      @@SDSGarage89the thing is all the hard work is done, probably wouldn’t be too hard to get a bigger rear housing or go up to a 770 style turbo

      @@234567king that’s definitely on the list of potential solutions for more jam. Going to have a good friend and excellent tuner pick through ECU calibration and tune to see can be optimized with the current set up.

    Hi bro i have a 6+6 blade turbo 62/84 from aliexpress with a mambatek wastegate spring 25 psi hybrid ct15 making 500hp on e85 this is crazy.

      I also only spent 400 for the turbo and 120 for the adjustable wastegate acuator

    Any ideas what was restricting it from getting more hp? Any inputs from your tuner?

      Noodling a few things around. Sorta guessing at back housing size but not sure yet.

      @@marcopolo8249 off the hop a larger AR, like a .82 would help. This thing is fully lit at 4,000 RPM which is nice and responsive for drifting

      @@SDSGarage89 I’m an old 7m mk3 guy, it always amazed me the torque the 1j makes when tuned properly. I’m not a pro, but the rod ratio has to be the culprit. I’m planning a 1j build right now and already predicted a lot of tuners will default to timing max best for the longer stroke of the 2j so I was listening for the snappiness of an advanced timing and it sounded like that was what was missing.
