#Bouldering #climbing #sports
Some channels excel more with either indoor or outdoor climbing content but you guys always make it just as fun to watch regardless. ✌️
🙏🙏
Soundtrack: superb
👊
Love the outdoors vids, good psych
What a day out with the boys! Tom’s smashed the edit as always🙏
Awesome work mate, I look forward to seeing more...
Nothing better than a bobats and coffee before a hard climbing session. Always got so much psych after watching
This vid came at the right time for me. The industry in the states is brutal right now and it's been wearing on my passion for the sport, which is why I started working in a climbing gym in the first place. Seeing yall have fun is what it's all about. Goin bouldering in the middle of winter with a bunch of friends tomorrow and this has me psyched.
what's brutal at the moment?
@@itszaque tl;dr companies know how easy it is to staff their gyms and they treat their staff accordingly.
Pressures on gym staff from owners to ramp up attendanceship while they focus on cutting staff and costs. I leave on weekends with my head spinning because I spend the whole time talking with barely a breath in between. We get paid minimum wage or barely more for a job where duties include "prevent people from falling to their deaths" and "console a customer and their partner for 20 minutes while EMTs reset their visibly shattered ulna" when there are barely enough people on staff to manage check-ins, let alone the safety of the gym. The company says safety is a priority when it's plain to see the priority is packing the place to the gills with a skeleton crew trying to run things. Then owners turn around and gaslight you and your team (I'm a customer service lead) for not making them more money when you tell them things are falling apart. Not sure how I'm supposed to focus on sales when there are first-timers tying their kids into ropes with overhand knots and pulling on the other end to try and belay them.
One of the competitor gyms in my city closed a location last year with less than a week of notice to their staff and members, and likely their other location is going this year. The other competitor protected a head setter with serious and substantial allegations of sexual harassment and abuse against him, even to the point of intimidating people who were talking about what to do. They quietly let him go when they got provided undeniable evidence from an anonymous source. My own company promoted one of the other CS leads at my gym to CS manager at a new location, then laid him off after four months, knowing he'd just bought a house, to "eliminate redundancies." He was there for five years and probably trained a quarter of the people who worked at the company when he got let go.
Every gym has a running list of applicants hundreds of names long for every position. You are replaceable and the owners treat you like it. There's no room to grow, and if you have a problem with that fact, they'll kick you to the curb. They don't want long-term growth. They want people they can run into the ground for a year or so, then replace when they get fed up and leave.
There's a lot more I can write but that's the gist. It's gotten to the point where if people ask how they can get a job at a gym, current staffers tell them to reconsider. Sucks but that's how it is.
At any rate, I just got out to go back into tech. Keeping a little instruction on the books for the sweet sweet pro deals, but otherwise, I'm making climbing my hobby again. Feels better that way.
love the outdoor vids keep them coming
Love the ad read appearance from B
Easily my favorite videos you guys make. Love watching you guys crush outside
flames
As usual sic video. These outdoors vids are so good.
The music was everything in this video
vibes, seems like so much fun to be climbing outdoors with good friends :), great vid as always
Jake soooo close to The Ace. Shouting at screen 'hold it'. Next time
Only 57 seconds into the video and had to comment on how high quality this video is!!!
Please keep making videos, I really enjoy watching them and it makes going climbing myself more fun
Great vid ! Those shots of the scenery are just incredible !!!
Bobats have the best climbing channel on RUclips. Feels like a group of guys you’d know at your gym - except they are much stronger than your buddies. Lol
B's squarespace ad was the best one yet!
B with the killer ad read
Very nice sound edit in this film. Great job Omarl
This one was a Tom special👌🏻
All the classics!!
You guys should definitely take a trip up to Torridon in the north of Scotland if you get a chance. Yous would be like kids in a candy shop amongst the Celtic Jumble boulders. (there's a hostel a few hundred meters down the road from the boulders)
Outdoor FTW, great video!
this was a fire vid, the quality was super great!
Such a sick vid!!
oh no! that fist bump counts as a dab!!!
The photography on this one is next level. Props guys.
What an amazing vlog. Strong scenes at the Joker and the Ace 😃
Well done chaps. I don't watch indoors stuff, but it was really cool to watch you getting outside on those Peak classics. Strong scenes as they say. One of the most impressive Joker sends I've seen.
Appreciate it! Wish we could get up their more often. Yeah Joe absolutely walked it.
Beidrik is really good at voice-overing ads
So sick. Cool as hell boulders.
This was a great vid, well done!!
Digging the tunes
I'd love to have a group of friends like the Bobats just as much as I'd love to climb those boulders! Great video! Keep crushing, guys!!

B ripping up that ad spot.
Sick! Gotta call out some questionable ethics though with Tom dabbing on your man's fist on Brad Pit.
Already comment this vid, but is so Great video the footage the climbs , sick
Great job boys! You’ll get it next time Jake!
Was wondering if the ace/joker bloc is overhung at all? And if so what degree if you had to hazard a guess (going to set a replica soon)
Of course it's overhanging lol, not massively but still certainly. The whole boulder is also at an sloping angle but the crimps are super slopey and terrible. I think this would be rather difficult to set a replica that isn't massively easier unless you've touched the holds and see how poor they are. It's grit, rather friction dependent.
Ned Feehally said it's ~14° overhanging in a recent post. Also had some pictures of replica holds
@@aidanjohnson7571 Dang, I should have just said my guess since haven't been to stanage in a while. I was gonna say 15°.
you can purchase the hold set
It’s about 50° overhung from memory
