Hi Jason, being a single guy condos are really great. You live comfortably without worrying about anyone else. Now your mindset has changed and the villa is a great choice. You don’t need anyone telling you what to do. This is your decision and your decision alone. It’s too bad the villa doesn’t have a pool and is in need of some work. Great to see you looking so happy Jason, all the best to both of you. If my memory serves, you're from Sydney. Imagine picking up a 2br home close to the water for A$150 per week nowadays. Or 20 years ago. That's a pretty sweet deal: just make sure the outside kitchen is well-ventilated. With no extraction fan and an enclosed space the gas stove could be a hazard for Sue.

Just make sure he ventilates it externally: I went to a few places last year where they just had a metal mesh filter inside the range hood: the fumes got sucked up and the water vapour and oil particulates were removed, but the dangerous gases from combustion, not least carbon monoxide, were recirculated as their was no duct leading outside. You're a mechanic so understand the danger. I'm sold on induction for cooking indoors.

Jason, living at The Whale was your dream. If you move in with her you are living her dream. Take my advice. Renew your lease for another 6 months and see where things are at. Once you move in things will change. Trust me, she is lovely. It is our biggest weakness. If things go wrong they go very wrong. Stay in your dream and your grind. I admire you, but remember the reality.

@@kjensen7819 I am moving to Thailand soon to retire and that is my biggest concern. It is so easy to deprioritize your goals for a beautiful Thai woman, particularly for western men. We are trained to do it. Most of us want a wife, to be honest. That is our blind spot. We dump all of our goals and wind up waking up to her agenda each day. Not saying it's bad, but a lot of us wind up building houses on land we don't own. It's a serious worry about being lonely / dying alone. Believe me I've been there and the pull of these ladies is powerful. I hope he grabs the ring, like many do. I want him to remember himself and it's his retirement. He paid his dues, so did I. We earned it. He loves living in The Whale and she could accommodate that. Old parents, sick buffalo, or not.

Hi mate, glad to hear you’ve met someone you like enough to move in with, I have just gone through the same experience last month, some of the “townhouses “ available are disgraceful, we were sick at it after 5 days, maybe too late but we ended up getting a condo in Pratumnak in the Norcia complex, 5th floor, 2 bedrooms, huge balcony, huge condo, only b15000 , nice safe area , owner has done all the little “mods” we asked, no worries, very happy, as I said probably to late, but maybe have a look around that area
Anyway , hope your happy mate and have a good life together, I’m back in August, might bump into & be able to buy you a beer or coffee

@@goodvibespattaya I came back to Texas for surgery and to take care of some legal business. (Will, partnership agreement…) and to finish some construction on my house and sell more of my possessions then I’m coming right back. Hopefully by September. I’m holding out on selling my house until I see how the upcoming election / economy goes. I’d love to come back to stay permanently.

I'm not yet retired from the grind so I struggle to find time to edit all the video footage I have and get it posted. hah I'm sure you're familiar with that reality too.
