The "Club Penguin" servers still being on is a semi-truth. Like the abandoned Toontown Online servers, pinging them and port scanning will show results, but most likely Disney have reused these servers (or considering their age - IP ranges, as the original machines are likely ewaste now) for other means.
@@r4ls3i7 As far as I know, the official Pixie Hollow servers are down, but there are a bunch of fans that are attempting to recreate it as best as they can. If you search it up I’m sure you can play this fan version, though it’s still in a “beta” phase, so it might have a few errors since it’s still a work in progress.
Most likely the reasons are 1. Disney did not turn off servers while they are ewaste (or just kept the ip ranges but destroyed the original servers or disposed them) 2. Disney cannot turn of servers (for some reason) so they are just on standby with no activity, but probably still folding account info, coins, and all of that. 3. Disney now uses the servers as storage for pilots and such and got rid of all club penguin assets or sent them to a secret server for storage (music, player names, etc.)
For the backrooms entry: I watched a few videos a while ago about it so sorry the details are few, but it’s like a glitch in a video game where you’ve kind of fallen between cracks in the game or even reality. So the backrooms urban legend says that is a place where your character (or you if you are that unfortunate) can’t get out of
actually it's nothing to do with a game, it was only a simulator i'm pretty sure. the actual story was written about our own universe, and it's so trippy to think about
the entry either refers to a creepypasta backrooms in clubpenguin or a unknown room called backrooms, i like to think it's an unused room rather than a cheap iceberg entry about the backrooms
@@ThomDeWit ikr, there are more rooms than u can ever imagine, and people only think its 3 or 8, but there is just no exit to it, its another room that you are trapped in.

No, Aunt Artic's puffles just wanted to take an image because they loved the new camera she bought for the newspaper. If you are saying that then i bet you never even played the club penguin missions or even completed the first one.
For the cult one, it’s true. There were many of them- I joined one. We were called the Nachos, our enemy was the Shadows or something. We had to meet at a specific time on a specific day in a specific server. We wore all yellow and we followed whatever the leader told us to do. It was all very strange though.. I mean. Something about it always felt... off. to me. Edit: it has come to my attention that these are actually called Armies, but still. It was still unsettling to me.

One thing that should've been on this iceberg is the original noise the Giant Squid from Aqua Grabbber makes. Funny enough, I had EVERY SINGLE STAMP in Aqua Grabber except for the Squid Spotter one (EVEN THE MULLET ONE). The worst part is that they had appeared for me before Stamps were a thing, so I got spooked with no Badge to show for it.
I wish there had been an entry higher up about "The night of the living sled" which was a 2 or 3 part short silent movie series you could watch during the Halloween period.
There's one odd secret or glitch i can't seem to find anywhere online and was wondering if anyone else experienced this? On the mobile version of club penguin (not CPI, but mobile regular club penguin) there was an item, a necklace with what i believe was a blue feather on it, and maybe some other thing attached, that would change your penguin to a weird blue/purple color that you couldn't buy, around maybe a pale indigo? i've tried looking this up multiple times, and have no recorded proof because when i discovered this I was a small kid playing on my dads iPad so i wasn't allowed to take screenshots. Did anyone else experience and/or have proof of this?
my friend said that was one of the guys who hacked CP got to the acessory files and told me that there was secret items you could wear all with the name DEGUG_ and some number, just to you know normal items had their own name on the files, if you bought a item called blue top hat the file of this item would be called blue_top_hat

"Snow Blasters" was actually the original idea for Club Penguin, as far as I can remember. The idea of Club Penguin/Penguin Chat at its conception was a massively multiplayer snowball war game with penguins. The project it led to was Experimental Penguins and the games that followed.
I remember when the mascots had player accounts and there were so many videos like "how to find ___" or "___'s account information" and I would go to school and tell my friends I was one of the NPCs salkjhalkjhdf
If I recall correctly, the going green stamp was earned back when the recycle plant was brand new & there was like that mini game or something you could do, I don’t entirely remember, I wasn’t playing that much at the time, only got on to take part in events & mascot hunt at parties so my memory on things is a little foggy. My experience in the game was a little different since I was 15 the first time I started playing it, this was like February 2007 so it was a different time & I was older than most on the game, I played because the neighbor’s kid I babysat was addicted to it & she wanted me to play too. Thankfully due to the fact I was older, I was able to identify creeps & I do have a disturbing story to tell. This is from when I was a young adult, probably around 18-ish, I remember I was still in high school at this point in time. I was mascot hunting because there was a party going on & if anyone has done hardcore mascot hunting, you know how it goes with having multiple chatrooms open & all that, I even was playing on two computers at the time on multiple accounts parked in different servers. One chatroom I was in got onto the topic of feet oddly enough & there was this guy asking weird, disturbing questions about everyone’s feet which was a huge no-no given the majority of them are probably kids so I threw in the fact that my left foot is 2 sizes bigger than my right which is true & this lured the creep into PMing me. He asked such weird questions on things I could do with my feet & it was then when I BS’d with the guy & told him stupid stuff but kept him strung on because he fell silent from the main chat & they got back to business with mascot hunting. I tried my best to entertain him so that he wouldn’t bother anyone else but I do fear that he might of been PMing kids too. I should of reported the guy looking back but younger me wanted to be like a superhero & fight the bad guy myself, I was so dumb. So yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if a ring such as that did exist in the games, I’ve come across a few creeps, foot guy was the worst given it was outside of the game so he could say what he wanted & he even asked for foot pics which not gonna lie, I wanted to google hairy gorilla feet or something & share that but I didn’t want him to bother someone else, told him I didn’t have a camera to get out of sharing pictures, wish I sent him an image of gorilla feet, that would of been great. This was in like 2009 I believe, could of been 2010, argument on not having a camera was far more believable back then.

I remember going back to someone’s igloo a long time ago and I’ll always remember this. The player asked what state I live in and I told him, he then read my zip code and I was spooked. I quickly turned off the game and didn’t go back on for a long time.

i might be wrong but the roomid one may be referring to a glitch where you could mess with the game's url to take you to different areas, some of which being test rooms or just entirely unused areas.
i immediately thought about that too, i remember a room called fog forest was only accessible that way. i think the ids only went into the triple digits though, since they starting reusing ids for temporary rooms later on
My friend showed this video to me since my step-dad worked on the severs for club penguin and i told him about how the severs where still on, and he said its not true “the severs where unplugged and wiped completely” i sent him this video and he didn’t say anything yet
How could the person who made this iceberg leave out unreleased puffles or the random room you could warp to that has immense fog and trees, with a giant puffle silhouette in the background? Those were always the most interesting to me.
@@JLRCUK I remember I used an adder that worked, but felt guilty for adding the beta hat so I messaged a mod saying someone hacked into my account and added it and asked them to remove it from my inventory which they did lol
My internet stopped working the day Club Penguin was shut down. I was a little angry because I really needed to say goodbye to it. It was my childhood!
The backdoor glitch wasn't a glitch, it was a event where a unknown player backdoored one of the servers. He was able to do some crazy things by injecting his own flash filed and having the server accept the files because the sever was backdoored. I dont have any source for this, but i remember this being spread around some blogs around 2008
I actually know more about this since I was a Club Penguin blogger back then. The rumor was that some hacker (I forgot his name, might've been Sanity Penguin?) created a "trainer" that backdoored the servers and let people add in their own rooms, ban any account, and add/create any item. Of course, it was never real and was all just make-believe made up for clicks. I don't remember what the full name of the trainer was, but I remember it started with the word "Penguin" (like Penguin Storm, but it wasn't that.)
Club penguin has been one of the biggest part of my childhood, I still remember those toys you could buy and redeem ingame items Watching this reminded me of so many things! I almost forgot about the ninja shadows, I remember seeing images of them when I was a kid!
I think room ID was referring where you could change the URL to a random room ID where it would lead to test rooms or unused rooms and stuff like that. As an old club penguin user, that’s what I remember.
I remember looking back at this iceberg a few months back and even though I know way too much about the game, I still didn’t understand most of the things on this iceberg. Tysm for explaining!
This is partly true, the official, original Club Penguin servers are still running in storage rooms around the globe if no one decided to gut them out. PewDiePie famously bought a home which was previously owned by Club Penguin, and he showed the storage room that still had servers running. But without the connectivity to the Disney's own servers, any attempt to log back into Club Penguin would not work in any capacity.
Esoteric Cults found in Club Penguin: The Tree Cult is actually what is known as a Club Penguin Army, and is one of dozens of similar groups of varying sizes that hold similar game time events and also face off against each other in mock emote battles. They might still be on my mom’s old laptop, but I have no clue where it is and it’s extremely old as well, so no clue if it will work. I remember Sanity1 and their videos, man.. This makes me want to watch old CP videos, I would always watch skits and funny bans. Also “Old Blue” was eventually released, now known as Ocean Blue. I remember being so excited to see it come to life. I had a ghost membership for a while, my membership wasn’t suspended for about 2-3 years despite only paying for the one year option.
About the backrooms entry, you know those images that give you a weird nostalgic feeling? Well that image is one of the most famous ones. It's weird that something like that is in a kids game
A couple of old rumours i was around for on my time in club penguin im kinda surprised weren't on the iceberg was Club Penguin at Night and Natural Disasters. The first basically being that when you played after midnight, all the rooms would have a night sky. The whole natural disasters thing was basically pranks people would play on younger players where they would pretend there was some sort of natural disaster about to hit the island and that everyone should hide in the boiler room for a while. The boiler room would get packed full of people for minutes on end. It was always kinda funny but i dont know how big the rumour/prank ever got

Actually servers in Antarctica would be beneficial due to the coldness. Servers typically have their own HVAC in the server rooms to keep them cool due to the heat they put off.
Surprising that the fog forest wasn't included in the iceberg. In Club Penguin, before the release of the whole Sasquatch event, there was a new unreleased room that was inaccessible in normal gameplay but that could still be accessed with a custom url that logged you into the desired room with its ID, in this case 851. The room looked like a typical snowy forest but completely covered in fog, with foggy background statues that were only seen before during Operation Puffle. It also featured a lake's shore, which many speculated this forest's location was at the unnamed lake from the new map. It was impossible to move in this room and the player was simply stuck in a corner of the screen. This room would later be revealed to be hinting and be part of the newest Puffle Wilds rooms, sharing its ID too. Speaking of which, the Sasquatch was kept a secret for some time as well, and its mascot sometimes randomly appeared in empty-ish servers with penguins confused about what that was, before there were any official news about it.

the peak of club penguin for me was when i was 10, my friend who got me into the game, bought me a member pass for x-mas and the same night we hopped on the game. I was a non-member for at least 3 years prior to getting the month pass, so i had over 2 million coins 😂 all in the same night we went to every area, every catalog, bought all the puffels, all the clothes, got the fancy sleds and tubes and anything upgraded looks for the games, i was "dripping" in penguin swag. Then the month ended and all the membership clothes and pets and anything i bought, i had in my inventory, but the game wouldn't let me use anything until i rebought my membership and that was that. The peak of the game, and then having 10 year old me understand what getting ripped off truly meant and i never went back to the game 👌 i miss it tho, now that i have money i probably would have bought a monthly member ship for the fun of it, just to get that rush again almost 15 years later 🤣
I was a moderator of a major army and then a founder of a small one before the game shutdown. The army community actually thrived and became larger after the shutdown on private servers, and is still large and active today. I was in top command and led some larger ones post-shutdown. Most of it was just harmless fun, a way to do organized events with others on CP. Sometimes it would go bad though, with doxxing and the like
About the room IDs, I'm not sure about specific IDs but I do know there were several IDs that would be overwritten for extra party rooms (for example the cave maze and Herbert's base in Operation Blackout). I don't know if these stayed in the release or not but after a while joining rooms via the join ID, even accessible rooms, didn't seem to work anymore. There's also a chance that Club Penguin developers will have an indev .swf file with these rooms, since they would generally have their own servers on which they'd host their changes.
The spam bot thing is actually partially true, the clip of the raid is actually people using existing hotkeys, like if you press e+t you get that music note or if you pres h you say hello, this allows you to say a specific message really fast

The "Club Penguin" servers still being on is a semi-truth.
Like the abandoned Toontown Online servers, pinging them and port scanning will show results, but most likely Disney have reused these servers (or considering their age - IP ranges, as the original machines are likely ewaste now) for other means.
They still haven't shut down the CPI server
@@Motscoud what about pixie hollow?
@@r4ls3i7 As far as I know, the official Pixie Hollow servers are down, but there are a bunch of fans that are attempting to recreate it as best as they can. If you search it up I’m sure you can play this fan version, though it’s still in a “beta” phase, so it might have a few errors since it’s still a work in progress.
Most likely the reasons are
1. Disney did not turn off servers while they are ewaste (or just kept the ip ranges but destroyed the original servers or disposed them)
For the backrooms entry:
I watched a few videos a while ago about it so sorry the details are few, but it’s like a glitch in a video game where you’ve kind of fallen between cracks in the game or even reality. I see, I don’t play much games now in days but I knew about the “backrooms” from a creepypasta 🤔

One thing that should've been on this iceberg is the original noise the Giant Squid from Aqua Grabbber makes. I remember reading about it when I was like 9 or 10 on the wiki and being morbidly curious as to what was so scary. I have a video of it that I found.

I played this game in 2010. Stopped when the game shutdown. Probably one of the best games I’ve played. Enjoyed every aspect of card jitsu.

Aunt artic’s reveal as The director and skip’s reveal as the villain for the 2014 Halloween party were the plot twists that had my childhood self in a death grip
Honestly the "Waddle on" thing got me there, i hope it comes back one day, i vaguely remember playing it, and i wanna remember some of my memories of that old moment.
I really am surprised TAS 1000 wasn't mentioned.
What even is Tas 1000
@@sherribarzola the band that made "I've been delayed"
Oh ok
@@sherribarzola a band that used an answering machine as a gimmick. i think one of the members was realted to a dev (?) and some of their music ended up being worked into the game
I hope Club Penguin comes back
I'd honestly pay the membership, since i never could as a kid.
They have club penguin rewritten!

I’m so mad Disney wont
I’m telling you guys it will never happen, Disney hasn’t tried to start the game up again and the original makers have tried so hard to get it back and Disney won’t budge( most likely because they still would want the profit)
I’d wish I could go back and experience it again I know there’s fan servers but I mean just being little again getting back from school and your mom surprises you with a club penguin membership so I can do new stuff miss those days
Really interesting, this comment definitely should have more interaction
I love your Icebergs man you don’t try to be scary. You should keep making them if you want!
About the ghost memberships, it reminds me of the time when for a day i got membership for free, even though i never purshased it in the first place
Hmm interesting 🤔
yes, this!! it happened to me as well, and (coincidentally?) on the day of my birthday. like you said, it only lasted a day
@@cyberdiamond666 i mean, if you had to put your birthday date when creating your account, wouldnt that be a birthday gift for you? Free membership for a day?
@@bornana269 yeah I suppose, I just had never heard of anyone else having it and it only happened once even though I was on the game for several years
Lol I got membership from a membership generator which somehow worked
The cults seem to be armies which were big back in the day and I barely see anyone mention them. I have a vivid memory of joining one called the Nachos which all dressed in Mexican clothes and my mom freaking out because she thought they were being racist towards Mexicans.
I played this game till I was 13 and it was basically my only social life, let's see how deep my knowledge went
The bots remind me of the armies that used to exist that would do the exact same thing in coordinated groups.
I forgot about the box dimension but I remember going there.
I know CPrewritten still exists and this makes me so curious to see if some of these rumors are still somehow present through it.
If you’re still up for playing, New Club Penguin is the newest form of the game. It makes sure not to make money to uphold the Copyright laws Disney tracks.
The tipping the iceberg feature was the OG Club Penguin mystery back in my day.
the peak of club penguin for me was when i was 10, my friend who got me into the game, bought me a member pass for x-mas and the same night we hopped on the game.
I kinda wish sony bought club peguin, servers mightve still stayed online
The spam bot thing is actually partially true, the clip of the raid is actually people using existing hotkeys, like if you press e+t you get that music note or if you pres h you say hello, this allows you to say a specific message really fast
Woah! One of my images was used! That's awesome!

I honestly always hated how they changed the way the EPF worked, as a kid I liked how it really felt like I'd found something special and hidden, but then they really did make it way more... Public? But the minigames that were gotten out kf it were super cool and honestly now I'm just glad it existed
