  • Inside of an American occupied prison at the end of the Second World War were two execution structures where almost 300 Nazi war criminals were executed. Landsberg Prison is most remembered as the site where Adolf Hitler was imprisoned, but it was also where the Americans executed many people condemned in war crimes trials. Those who were executed here included Hitler and Himmler's own doctors, and those who had slaughtered prisoners of war. There were many former guards of concentration camps also executed on the gallows of Landsberg.

      I agree! The US also allowed many of the convicted war criminals, with life sentences, to be released in 10 years, or less.

    I still don't understand why an execution that ended up strangling to death versus neck snapping is called botched and horrific by you. When you don't call out the Poles and Russians for intentionally strangling all those they hung. Why weren't the pole and Russian hung executions called "horrific"?

    • @Turnipstalk
      @Turnipstalk Месяц назад

      The Poles and Russians had been invaded by the Nazis and suffered massacres and starvation. Understandable. The US had not. You cannot judge victims of the camps by the standards of a victorious army.

    In the early part of the 1700s English Prisoners would get the " Black Mass" the afternoon before they were hung, there they would sit on the coffins, they would later occupy, and be given the opportunity to shrivened of their sins, this was after the use of the Tyburn Tree was discontinued in favor of the drop method.

      No los ejecutaron.
      La conspiración era: un actor parecido al retenido hacia de “prisionero a ejecutar”, se tomaban fotos y filmaciones, el verdadero prisionero era liberado y se le daba un pasaporte Norte Americano junto con US$ 10.000.
      Luego estos hombres entraron a trabajar con la CIA, el FBI, él área 51 y otros organismos.

    Once the war criminals were cut down they were placed in a wooden coffin, along with the noose that was used to hang them, and were taken to a crematorium, where they were cremated, their ashes were then thrown into a river in order that they would not have any memorial to them, not even a grave marker, that could become a Nazi shrine, when Eichmann was executed in Israel, there were no appeals to be considered so he was taken directly from the courtroom, to the gallows, then hence to the crematorium, his ashes were then taken aboard an Israeli gunboat, and scattered at sea with no record of the coordinates.

      "Eichmann was executed in Israel, there were no appeals to be considered so he was taken directly from the courtroom, to the gallows"
      Where the hell did you get this info?
      Eichmann was sentenced on 15 December 1961. Then his lawyers filed an appeal. The appeal was heard by the Supreme Court in March 1961, but they announced the verdict only on 29 May 1962. Then there was 30 May when Eichmann filed a petition for clemency to be reviewed by Israeli president, who denied it on 31 May. Eichmann was hanged on 1 June, just after midnight.

    Correct term in Catholicism is Last Rights. The term final blessing seems rather odd in any faith along with holding a final service. Considering their crimes they deserved justice. Not Mercy
