I have the same tent, great single pole tent design. Good choice on the Cascade Mountain Tech poles....excellent sub $50 carbon flip lock poles. We have a lot in common.
Awesome! I would say if you hike that pole up about another 1 to 1.5 inches you'll get the bath tub floor you're looking for and even give you a bit more head room. Good stuff Warren. I wish you all the best man, and have many an adventure in your new Lunar Solo LE!
I do one more thing and don't know if you do it or not. It pulls the ends of the tent out really nice. I attached a line to each pull out which are above your head and feet on the outside of the tent. On that line just past the edge of the tent I have a treaking pole cup ( weight .09 oz each from Zpacks ) on the line. I put one end of a 32 inch pole in the cup with the other end on the ground which raises the end sides of the tent and pulls it out. In soft sand you need something solid under the end on the ground. Then attach the line to a tent stake. I got the 32 inch poles from Zpacks , they weigh .95 oz each.
Chuck Littleton hi Chuck so far I have not used the end tie outs. I seem to have sufficient room over my head and feet. Does it bring the bathtub up any higher?
Wondering how the tent attaches to that front guy line? Do you run the line through one of the 2 black loops by the zippers? Not sure how that front stays in place and doesnt flap around but is also pulled down towards that front stake.
I just bought the lunar solo, supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Got to get to seam sealing before my trip this weekend.
Jason Helmandollar enjoy your new Lunar Solo. I look forward to hearing from you regarding your trip.
