I thought this was done with the engine off but I hear your engine on and running? I’m new to all this but I get diff answers from each video on RUclips. Pls help

I keep the engine running so the air compressor can continuously send air to the tanks so the tanks won't get empty quickly while I'm draining the air.
But you can also do it with the engine off.

When there is nothing but air coming out of it. You can put your hand there and see if water is splattered on your hand or put something there that you can see clearly that water is coming out.
