@@max20817 Those Muslims were the ones who decided to fight him, trying to overthrow a just ruler. You should know he offered everyone from Muawiyah to Aisha multiple peace deals but they all rejected and were hell bent on power.
Let me get this straight he didn't fight when he was the rightful caliph from the start only when he was challenged? This is an insult to Ali (ra) who stood for justice regardless of the situation even if he was at risk of death as he slept in the bed of the prophet (ﷺ) when quraysh were seeking to harm him but Ali (ra) put his life on the line. Also Ali (ra) named his sons after those sahaba who became khalifa before him
So if that's the case why did he fight in siffin ??? Muslims were killed there aswell
Key difference: He had achieved his Khilafa by that point and had an army allowing him to fight
