@@musikil_ Ngl he became my #1 FNAF fansong creator quite quickly because of his style, it's quite different from the upbeat styles most FNAF songs go for, they have a sinister atmosphere to it if not bittersweet at times, even the way he sings is meant to come off rather dark and malicious!

This song perfectly fits when I was 8 years old. When I first heard of fnaf I thought it was about these animatronics roaming around in a maze like building but months later I played it and realised the game didn't live up to my "expectations". You know what the weirdest or even scariest thing is? This sfm music video is exactly in detail how I pictured the game when I was 8, this big building where you must survive for 5 nights
Edit: hearing the lyric "open the door to expect something more" freaks me out even more, like this song was destined for me to comfort me or something.
Edit 2: 1:09 - 1:27 is a perfect example of how I pictured it years ago
I thought pretty much the same as you when I was little, my friend tried to explain me what fnaf was on the school bus, from what I understood, it was a free-roam game taking place in a mansion with only freddy as a threat, pretty much the same style as joy of creation, I thought the game was infinite and you had to survive for as long as you can, while defending yourself using a flashlight with limited batteries
