This is such an incredible and underrated movie! The fight scenes, camerawork, cinematography, soundtrack, and especially the superb acting of the always great, though underappreciated, Logan Marshall-Green.
I'll never not love the full heel-only stand up from a laying down position. It's just such a badass maneuver. Seen it in some other media and always a cool fucking scene.
Its weird cus this is conceptually a super good Venom movie but it has no fun; Venom's best solo stuff is dark but doesn't always take itself very seriously and he's a pretty gooby villain all things considered; its just that the actual Venom movie isn't really that dark at all, its just dumb-fun action without the cool concepts and visuals that Upgrade has going for it. I wish I could somehow fuse both movies together to create an original robo-alien-parasite antihero action movie with proper dark themes but a nicer ending and more levity throughout with an actual relationship that builds up with STEM instead of it just being completely self-serving.
@@DrRuvik no way! I was literally watching the movie and wondering how amazing a series with be especially considering the fact the movies budget was only 3 million!
This goes back to Grey's point to Eron in the beginning, that computers cannot do everything. STEM is an excellent technical advisor, strategist, and combatant, but it has no idea how to be human, or interact with other humans. Grey doesn't know much about advanced tech, but he knows people; he has a lifetime of experience with them. It really shows that a combination of AI and humanity is the best possible option; when working together, Grey and STEM are unstoppable. They are each less efficient when on their own, or working against each other.
Guys, i admire fight and camera work. But can someone please tell me who's he talking to. His instinct, his subconscious mind, a ghostly spirit? What is it. Also what movie?

The actor who played serk, who took the beating...did a great job!

Underrated movie
Amazing movie. Best ending possible.
Stem: Why so serious, let’s put a smile on his face

It would be so nice to have an AI in your head keep track of everything
As long as its on your side
I smiled so hard watching this scene in theaters
I really hope they do a part 2 to this
No sequel but an HBO series. I read the script for the series is done but the producer believes it needs more work.

Nah your wrong. Some things are best left discontinued your imagination is all that is required. Making a sequel would fuck it up
I went to school with the guy who plays eron, he hasnt said anything about a sequel

I really enjoyed this film.
Hey it's Tom Hardly.
One of the last great films ive seen in years
Stems weakness and AI in general is the inability to show emotion. That's why he lost the last fight.

Discount Tom Hardy/venom

DING!
Logan Marshall-Green is not a 'discount' anything. This movie and The Invitation proved it.
Tom Hardy is a great actor, but this movie is infinitely better than Venom.
