As for Capfriendly, considering what cap magic Vegas has managed, Caps making a similar investment makes sense. A new alternative will come up. There is a market for it. Don't worry.
Pens do need some youth on the team. Problem is prospects unless you pick in top 5 take a few years to develop usually. Pens need to stay competitive for rest of crosby's career. I don't know what the deal with him is, but I keep seeing the ducks wanting to trade trevor zegras. That would be the type of prospect to trade for. Probably would take next seasons 1st to get him but unless penguins are down right terrible next season and end up with top 5 pick. Zegras would be better then who they would draft and already playing in nhl. Could play on crosby's wing or 2nd line center which could move malkin to sides wing. At 23, he could help now and be one of penguins top players in future

Pittsburgh is a big market team, Gary will help the franchise out with good draft lottery selections when the time comes. I mean, Chicago got Bedard after all those scandals. Probably gonna have like 5 bad years tho lol
