Planning on retiring sometime next year, if I can take the stress that long. Your advice is awesome IMO. I have the years of service and age. Question, when counting months of service, do I use the day of the month I started? I started July 14 and have no break in service or LWOP, so does each year count from July 14th? I hope that makes sense. I would also like to talk to someone on a fee basis only, do you offer that?

Every July 14th will be an additional year of service, and for general calculations, you can use the 14th of every month as an extra month of service. Also, we do provide fee only services.

I don't know your income and expense needs, but you have fully maxed out your your social security benefit and you qualify for the 10% increase to your FERS pension. There are not too many advantages to continue working assuming you can meet your lifestyle needs.
