This song never fails to make me smile. Or cry. Usually both. I remember spending hours every day after school completing every quest that wasn't marked as completed. I spent the most time on gathering quests (everything was in Japanese lol) and I would run out of time before I realized what I was supposed to look for. I think I clocked in around 500 hours before I finally got to Lunastra in the 4* village. Even after Lunastra, I'd keep coming back to Dos. I think my save was around 1.2k hours~ before I started focusing on P3rd. It's been 7 years since those days. Despite that, my heart remains in Jumbo Village.
Como olvidar que el juego estuviera completamente en japones, y no ayudó que mh2 fuera el primero que jugué, pero algo tenia que hizo que me enganchara incluso si aceptaba misiones sin saber que tenia que hacer jsjsj
I'm so glad this game is so much easier to play for so many people now with the Break Arts full translation being a thing, I love how hard this game nails its general atmosphere and it probably nails the vibes of being a hunter for a village the best out of any game in the series because of how stuff you do so directly correlates with the growth of the village
As a 4th gen Hunter, I am here to pay my respect to hunters who have hunted way before me, and to admire the music for it's the least well known second gen game.
For 12 years playing Monster Hunter, I still remember at that time how innocent it was to play games on PS2, then continued until I played a lot of series and then I'm this old, I hope that when I'm old I can sit on the terrace and listen to music like this.
I remember when I first played it I used a bunch of dictionaries (such as Jisho), some tools and Google Translate (that sucked back then and didn't have camera translation) in order to understand the dialogues. There was a website that allowed you to draw a Japanese character and it would show up in text form. So I kept drawing the characters and Google translating them. The translation was not even good but I could definitely understand what the NPCs were trying to say. It was a hassle but such a fun experience cause after around 200h I had almost memorized both Japanese alphabets. After playing MH2 I've learned to appreciate the NPC dialogue in the later games. Love this game.
Good news for everyone that wants to try this amazing game, there is a english patch made by BREAK ARTS that fully translates the game + fan servers for dundorma on the oldschoolforums!!
I'll cry if they manage to put a snippet of this in White Fatalis' theme if it returns one day. Though I think the original Dundorma theme would fit better mixed into it.

Love the bagpipes in this song
Just played Dos and damn it was an amazing experience
Even more amazing if I can understand 90 percent of the dialogues but still amazing

@@magnabueno5360 you probably will be fine because MH don't really rely on the heavy dialogues
