It’s a hard no for me on shorts! RUclips is probably pushing for it because they want to keep up with TikTok but they are forgetting that a lot of people watch RUclips instead of TV and in the background, therefore I‘m all for long videos!

I personally love long form content. It’s so peaceful and you know exactly what you’re getting. When you’re on tik tok, literally anything can pop up and it almost always will tank my mood and or give me some sort of anxiety. I think a lot of ppl are stating to find tik tok to be a little toxic in that sense

yes!!! Tiktok seems very toxic in a lot of ways, but it's just flat out not enjoyable for me. I still love youtube, how easy it is to search for exactly what I want and see what I want, plus youtube's recs seem better than any other platforms. I don't watch shorts at all. I feel like the views are just kinda 'auto' views that happen as people are recd the video. They weren't necessarily engaged at all.
I agree I personally try to stay away from tik tok, the only reason I check it is for Taras content.
I have a set of creators like you that I continue to look forward to their long form content and whenever shorts are posted I never watch them. The longer videos are my favorite! It’s like I’m catching up with a friend every time I watch & I love it! Don’t stop long videos please!! 🫶🏼
Literally same! I hate shorts on RUclips. I prefer longer videos I feel more productive compared to scrolling mindlessly on tiktok which I also do but I feel horrible after compared to watching RUclips videos for the same hour for example.
I prefer longer videos on RUclips and shorter videos on TikTok, I feel like each app has their purpose n needs to stop blending every feature and all becoming the same

I literally never ever watch shorts on RUclips ever! I would have to exhausted all my options on RUclips long format videos, Tiktok, and then Instagram before I would ever even consider watching a short on RUclips. When I want to watch you I’m always going to be coming to RUclips and looking specifically for the long format! Definitely feels like advice to push their own agenda and desires rather than based on what a creator’s audience is looking for.
Love the longer videos. So please stick with the longer ones. I also love when you travel. Especially outside the U.S. It's like I'm traveling with you and gives me inspiration to go to all the places.

In terms of your videos, I don’t think every platform has to be identical. I love long form content and your videos. Would be sad to lose them! I don’t love shorts as much or if I do watch them it’s because I’m bored and scrolling. I like having a coffee and watching your videos - it’s like a proper break haha

There’s not a single short form content creator that I follow and consistently watch their content. Long form ALL THE WAY! I spend far more time on RUclips than tiktok

I personally have been watching your videos for almost 7 years. Found your channel when I was 15years old and am now turning 22 on feb2nd. You have become some one I feel like I have grown up with. Your videos are one of my favorite parts of the week and are part of my everyday life. Your name as become a household name to my husband and family. Not only because you are amazing person! But because of the way you film and create your content with so much care! You some how make your viewers feel more than just viewers but friends. I love the long form content and being able to watch your videos every week when I get ready, make food, or work out. My dogs also love when I put your videos on the big tv and they get so excited when Brady shows an appearance.
I feel like with shorts there would not be the same connection. The ability to grow up with some one and get to know them. Or have the convenience to just pick video to watch/listen to while also being able to get things done without having to scroll every minute.
With all that being said i love your videos and the content you create and no matter what you chose to do with your channel. I will always be a loyal viewer but I hope you stick to long form content ! ❤
it's a hard no on the short videos. your vlogs are extremelly comforting and even with other creators i watch their long content instead of short. also for your jacket i think that you should get a black coat with a belt of buttons and it goes with pretty much every outfit ❤

In my opinion, I love the longer form content!! You are actually the only RUclipsr that I’ve consistently kept up with (talkin night routine when you were living at your parents place as a teenager and then when you had your first LA place with roommates)

I understand that we all need to evolve with the times, but we also should realize how important it is to continue doing what we love and what works for us. I am here for your long content. I love it. It is my comfort "show". With shorts I feel overwhelmed, rushed an unsatisfied in terms of relaxation or/and entertainment. Long form content is waaay better ❤️ I don’t watch tv anymore, I pretty much exclusively watch YT content and when a creator has a 30+ minute video I am so happy😂
I used to love TikTok/ short form videos a lot but i found myself getting so addicted and wasting so much time so i prefer long videos now & your videos are my fav!!!
I too prefer videos. I have watched the shorts maybe once ever. I just don't have the time to sit and scroll! Videos to have on a playlist in the background without having to mess with them is much more useful and manageable for me.

Tara, As a Social Media Manager. DO NOT STOP Making Long Form Videos. RUclips is going to tell you you need to Shorts cause they want the success of Shorts. Make short form, but do not stop long form. Thats what you core audience wants.

it’s so frustrating to me the way all these social media apps try to be like each other! like i don’t understand why they can’t just like let themselves be unique and different from each other. instagram for photos, youtube for long videos, and tiktok for short videos.
i filter my subscriptions with a chrome extension to exclude shorts so even if you post them i probably won’t see/watch them! obvs you do you, but as a long time subscriber i can tell you i will absolutely keep watching your long form videos! also cute outfit for going out!!! love it ❤

I like tiktoks for short educational videos or quick rants or story times. RUclips videos cover multiple topics and go deeper without feeling rushed.

Not sure what the requirements are for Canada, but if you're visiting the UK from the US, you're not supposed to work/make money there unless you have a work visa. I used to go for months at a time when I was freelancing, between contracts, and I always got questioned a TON at customs/border check and it was super anxiety-inducing. Just something to consider/look into if you plan on working while there!
Also when the esta style visas come in for uk to europe may make it harder to pop somewhere for the weekend

I personally love the long form, but shorts are also sometimes convenient and fun. When i have time I'll watch a long form video, but when i have like 10min to burn I'll watch some shorts. The thing with shorts and tiktok is that it can be quite addicting. But yk, people can decide for themselves.

There’s a purpose of both long form and short form content and an audience for both. I love long form because there’s more connection with the creator and it’s easy to just play RUclips videos while doing other things. Short form is more for mindless scrolling. I think creators can do both!

I don’t watch shorts on RUclips because I don’t personally like the setup and most shorts that come up on RUclips are so random tbh. Lol. I absolutely love long form content on RUclips. It’s my favourite content to consume because I find that it’s usually the most positive and encouraging! I feel like I have friendships with the people I’m subscribed to where as with short form I feel theres a lack of a personal relationship with the audience.
I love the long form content! I don’t watch shorts here on YT. I do enjoy TikTok but I don’t feel it would be the same. We wouldn’t get to accompany you throughout your day. i know i’m just one person, but tiktok was very toxic for me. i would spend hours scrolling through it daily & not being productive (which is probably more of a me problem lol) but that’s one thing i love about long format, youtube videos. i watch a 20-30 minute video (yours 98% of the time) and then i’m done. i absolutely adore your long format videos & hope you keep doing them. but if you do decide to go the short format route, i’ll still be here supporting you. opinions aside, please do whatever YOU think is best & whatever you feel like you’d be the happiest doing 🤍

I never come to RUclips for shorts. This is my long-form content platform that I come on for long videos that I can have on as I work, cook, clean etc. It replaces TV for me and I like it that way. I’ll always default to TikTok for short-form content & mindless scrolling, but I wouldn’t replace either for the other. They both have their place. Please don’t change to shorts on RUclips, I really enjoy your long vlogs! RUclips should stop trying to be something it’s not and forcing its content creators to create short content.
