Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in the Alps and Western Europe, and the highest mountain in Europe outside the Caucasus mountains, rising 4,805.59 m above sea level, located on the French-Italian border.
The Mont Blanc massif (French: Massif du Mont-Blanc; Italian: Massiccio del Monte Bianco) is a mountain range in the Alps, located mostly in France and Italy, but also straddling Switzerland at its northeastern end. It contains eleven major independent summits, each over 4,000 metres (13,123 ft) in height.
Haute-Savoie is a region in the Alps of eastern France. The many ski resorts in the Mont Blanc mountain range include popular Chamonix, with access to a large area of ski and snowboard runs. Year-round cable cars ascend to peaks like Aiguille du Midi, which has panoramic views. Northwest is Flaine, a ski resort with trails, modern architecture and open-air sculptures by Pablo Picasso and Jean Dubuffet
