Our future is definitely trending upward now. I’m 23 years old and it’s crazy to think that I’m now older than anyone that gets drafted into the NHL. I LOVE Schaefer. He’s doesn’t give the typical hockey player answers when he does interviews.

It’s not just Matthew Schaefer that’s bringing excitement to the fan base, they also drafted Victor Eklund and Kashawn Aitcheson at 16th and 17th overall respectively, they signed the top Russian free agent in Maxim Shabanov, highly touted prospect Calum Ritchie was acquired at the 2025 trade deadline, and they have two more first round picks coming in an absolutely loaded 2026 draft.
@SportsComedyHipHop The Islanders weren’t good last year but nobody will remember the 2024-25 season as “historically bad.” They finished with a 35-35-12 record and were slotted in at 10th overall at the start of the draft lottery with just a 3.5% chance of winning and we caught lightning in a bottle!!

I also want to go to the two exhibition games against the Rangers on September 25 (MSG) and on September 29 (UBS Arena).
