As a person in 40s, I have some views on retirement property. 1. Shouldn’t care too much on the capital appreciation future prospects. 2. Should consider single storey or condo as you will have weak mobility due to the knees to climb stairs. Common double stores has most of the bedrooms on upper level. 3. The surrounded amenities must be convenient enough. 4. Medical Centre / Hospital has to be nearby as old age may need to have more follow up appointments. 5. Optional: stay near to kids/friends so you can get help in case has unforeseen health problems. 6. Optional: cheaper lifestyle expenses. Imagine retires in KLCC.

Just to share my thoughts about the questions, is it right time to buy, I been looking property for investment within my budget about 500k, actually a lot place has the potential as Sri damansara, desa park city nearby, bangsar south, the main point is the property will take how long to get you return so the study is very important because every location has a different time to grow also drop.
