Simple and effective indeed, caught both Seatrout and Pollock on this today, same colours :) 20mph winds made it a decent workout casting...

how about some tips on casting heavy flies? i have some clouser minnow but never really use them because i can't get it to go far.

+visualkeirockstar It depends on what rod you have, main factors are, rod weight, thickness of the leader and how long the leader is, a short thick leader will have no problem rolling over a big fly, but if you're casting a big clouser on a 5 weight, changing the leader up will only get you so far :)

try a shorter leader, hope this helps... TL from Hannover 🐟

Will this bait work in a city man-made pond, and knowing that the trout are coming from a farm. which they feed them pellets?

+Shaun Rogers A smaller size of this pattern should do the job.
