The reason behind j engine not going more than 120kmph on 5th gear is because it is an over drive gear. Long stroke engine can not produce high rpm tork thay are good at creating low rpm tork to drive faster than 120kmph u need short stroke engine which creates its tork after 2-3 thousands rpm you can not drive below 3000 rpm at 3rd gear in short stroke engine but in re engine you can drive below 500 rpm in 3rd gear. same is with 5th gear it is for cruising only.

I booked Meteor back jn April..eagerly waiting...your video has given me more confidence..my height is less than yours so the riding position is going to be perfect for me. Please share some details about breaking in a bike. I'm a new rider and I keep hearing this for new bikes.

Breaking is good , but u should be cautious while u r cornering 😀
Braking of Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is good👍,you just need to take care while cornering as it is does not inspire much confidence while doing so,which is for obvious reasons being it a cruiser motorcycle and not a sports bike.
It gets a twin-disk,dual-channel abs braking system as standard which makes it a great offering by RE.
But,there are some vibes felt while cruising at higher speeds or at higher running the engine on rpms,although it's all new just serious engine is 75%better than the previous 350cc RE engines,the chassis is also better,it is a double-tube frame type chassis,compared to the single-tube type chassis which was provided earlier.
The clutch is heavy and it's not like slipper clutch,it takes some time for you to get used to,and you may end in hard shifts many times during the initial stage of ownership but the lever is big and heavy which makes it easy to operate and hold.
Suspension is a bit on the stiffer side but I provides great stability too.
You may go with the RE Himalayan Scram 411 if you have a mix of offroad and urban riding purposes.
At the end,the reliability and sales and service support and reach of RE and easy availability of parts keep the RE's a level above the offerings from Yezdi,Jawa, Benelli, Honda,etc.

Bhai just a heads-up, cruiser motorcycle par kabhi b jeans wear karke ride mat kro agar aap tall ho to, wear a cargo or any lose pants. This makes a big difference 👍
I tried my friend 's meteor wearing jeans. It was so uncomfortable. I was feeling pain in my waist part. Next day I wore track pant. There was a huge difference in terms of comfort.
I am 6'2. Will the footpeg position be better in classic compared to meteor? can u suggest please
Footpeg position will be better in meteor for your height but meteor seat height is very low as compared to thunderbird 350x. I would recommend you to buy a less driven thunderbird x as I also have the same height and you will feel back pain as this is a low rider cruiser.
In your opinion ...is the Meteor 350 suited for everyday office commutes in heavy traffic conditions??? Highway rides will only be done occasionally like once a month.

My ownership experience of the RE Meteor 350-

The math is simple,Royal Enfield is a synonym of heavy motorcycle in the Indian market,to inform you,RE is an Indian brand,whereas Yezdi an from Prague,Czech Republic,so reliability is obviously less and everyone knows it has more chance to flee from Indian market like Ford did,but since it is now owned by Mahindra group,it still has a chance to survive
Yezdi has a short stroke engine whereas RE has a long stroke engine,so refinement levels on yezdi might seem great but vibrations are still present and are much more evident than RE((just series) in higher rpms.Yezdis consume a lot of fuel,the milieage of roaster is 29.5(approx.) which is owner reported and RE J series engine bikes have 35(i get it easily).
I personally love the service of my dealer,it is great!
Maintainence of Yezdi is much more as compared to a RE!

And at the end,roaster is not a proper crusier,it's more of a sports-crusier,so it's hanging in between the two categories and hybrid products aren't always good.
Though,it's your or may be your father's money at the end of the day and you own the sinful right to destroy it in whichever and whatever way to want to(if you want to buy it in real sense and you are not hear for passing your time,if that,go play games and have fun like your name suggests😬)
