Missed it "Live". Great show guys! Saw Michkov this morning at FTC in Vorhees. Appears to be a hard worker. Stayed on ice longer than most and signed some autographs after. Keep it up!
Imo, Michkov should be the betting favorite. Consider this: For all Demidov's hype, as of the draft he'd played a total of 6 KHL games & 1 VHL game. When Michkov was drafted, He'd played 43 KHL games & 12 VHL games. Matvei's always been way ahead of his peers. He's a year older & much more experienced against men than Celebrini. Thanks for the pod boys!
The 2 sentences that Briere said on Riley Cotes's pod cast about Kosolov - " He is under contract with the Flyers. While under contract, he is not allowed to play with any other hockey organization than us. " Period. End of sentence. He'll just be screwing himself by not playing hockey anymore. What a waste.
@@stackaleak Fedotov was under contract with the Flyers. The IIHF even made the same determination. He spent the season in the KHL. So, there’s precedent.
The team is still woefully untalented. Any team that has Frost as your their top center/2nd line center and you’re in a lot of trouble. They still need to get from under their salary cap issues and really need to nail it next summer with their three first picks Imho, they will take a step back this season. My original prediction when they hired DB was it’d take them 3-5 yrs to get back in the playoffs. This season is year two. Two believe they will be much better is discounting how bad of a situation chuckles the In incompetent clown put us in
I take an opposite opinion. Healthy players first and foremost. Goalie situation has been addressed without giving up assets. Defense is decent with decent prospects. Forwards good with another year of experience and adding Michkov two years earlier than expected. Overall they have higher expectations of themselves knowing what the coach expects of them. I think confidence is high and they want to get to the next level.
You have a point about the Ovie comparison. But consider this those mid/late 90s flyers, including the LoD were huge. Detroit skated rings around us with their skill

Missed you all!
A bit late to comment but, nice too see you guys!
Fun show tonight. Topics on point. Talent evaluation this season is key leading up to the next draft and possibly free agent signings and/or trades
LETS GO FLYERS.
It took Kucherov 4 years to become over a point a game guy... Patience with Michkov
You can’t say you are the only Flyers podcast. I follow a bunch of others - including Flyers daily.
Yes, yes they can.
… that’s the joke
It’s a bit…
How is Russ surprised michkov is the betting favourite for the Calder Jesus

Younger generation players are so soft. Kolosov just seems like a soft drama queen. Good riddance.
What is bundy talking about, Kucherov is nothing special defensively
The game has changed, but Michkov is so much smaller than the Ovechkin s , his size scares me
5’10 190 isn’t small in todays league, he’ll be fine.
