@@morganthesloth8816 i guess the most important thing is not to cut the layers straight but to point cut them or it will look very weird and if it ends up looking weird dont panic deep point cut it and do what he did at 7:50 the controled slicing until you feel that the section is blended with the rest of your hair. Another thing if you are not sure how to cut try it first at a longer length let the hair down if you like how it turned out repeat it at the length that you want (shorter). And if you want those really short layers at the top of your head add them randomly wherever you feel like having them and add them at the end of the haircut like he did not at the beginning. I also did the whole haircut on dry hair since I know nothing about cutting hair, that way i can see what im doing and fix any mistake i make before its too late. So that's how i did it hope it will help you. enjoy your haircut ❤️
Don’t care that this was 4 years ago I’d love to have it done today (2021) if I could just find a decent hairdresser, even if I travelled to the city ...8 hours away ... I’ve had such awful experiences with hairdressers I’d be scared they would mess it up.
Can this be done on fine wavy hair? I love this style but can’t find any hairstylists around here that will cut it like this, they keep telling me I don’t have thick enough hair, which is frustrating because my hair looks great with layers!
Fine wavy hair is good for this cut, I have it. I have a long shag. Any stylist saying you don't have thick enough hair sounds like a bad stylist lol. Unless you are legit balding maybe. Getting this cut will make your hair look thicker. I would try to look for a stylist outside of my city if that happened.
Thanks for cutting demo. Sure is that lot of product being used to support this look. A bit of advise.. Concentrate on keeping your technique stronger so you won't go texturing crazy. Texturing can actually be created by choosing the right technique. Then you can finish by texturing the ends a bit more for the details. 85 % technique 15 % texturing is all that is needed plus the look will last a lot longer.
In reality this technique can be customized . From shampoo, conditioner, and styling with all finishing products that been used with model through the whole entire presentations. The over all look ,technical cutting ,styling. Is super duper good. Plus, i know Thomas, I have taken so many classes with him. I love most of his cutting technique. He's is one the best in TIGI Creative Team. But I also appreciate most the comments. Some people don't really see why they used and cocktails so many products. The point of whole technical presentations is create options and make it your own.
I love this tutorial, but I have a question. Why wouldn’t you use thinning shears? Is it a personal choice or will they not give the desired end result? I love my thinning shears for everything, lol I like it #dirty looking for this cut- almost more mullety than most lol 😂
YOUR COLLECTIVE IS AMAZING. YOU ARE THE PEOPLE OF SUPER FASHION, AND I MEAN NOT ONLY THE FASHION AND DESIGN OF THE HAIR... ON THE SAME TIME THE MODELS ARE VERY BEAUTIFUL AND INTELLIGENT GIRLS. YES I'M SURE. BORIS SOPHIA BULGARIA
itl's literally not. a 90 degree has a traveling guide and zero over direction. Did you even go to cosmetology school? Literally nothing about this is a 90 degree hair cut.
They cut the video off to soon before he finishes the complete cut. Didn't really learn much. The way they demonstrated it suckerd. Sorry, I'm going back to Sam Villa's vids. His is the best on RUclips! See ya
This is still BRILLIANT 5 years later!!🎉

To the comments below~ The slightly frayed ends is part of the shaggy look - great cut.

I really think we need to be more aware of the chemicals we've subjecting ourselves and our clients to. Beauty does not have to be toxic

I am in agreement, do not over do texturizing and point cutting the ends, it will end up looking frayed.

Robert Euzarraga I see where you're coming from, but then again, it's Tigi. They're known for doing things this way.
sibkiss2009 this haircut was supposed to be frayed looking.
Preach it!!

From what I have been told it is always a personal choice. I love my thinning shears too.
tit doesn't give good result on thin hair
TRES Cool Shag!
Wow! Great Job ! 🌷🌷🌷🌷👍🏻✌🏻️
I would love to know what the hair color is for the model. Precisely what l would like and can't achieve.

Like the haircut overall but the bangs section is way too thick and blocky for me.
LOL ! the music sounds like the guy is barfing! ..... heheheeh!
It’s so awwwwwfuuuuul
Спасибо 👍🏻
You should cut so that the falling hair doesn't land in the model's eyes and face.
MORE TUTORIALS VIDEOS PLS
Cutting name please
I want this but I'm afraid my 40s dresses won't cooperate and won't be wearable with this :-(
❤️💯✨
👍
☝️👏👏👏
pretty heavy on the chemicals
This is literally just a 90 degree haircut with bangs. There is no reason to make the process so complicated
Dakota thank you

Poxa... Um cabelo tão bonito, daí estragam ele com esse corte horroroso! Pelo amor...
She doesn't look happy...
Why is this guy cutting hair like he’s running late on a Saturday?
I think it’s the editing/camera guys fault that the video feels so rushed and antic.
Muy lento
