Interesting how opposite pages resemble each other and can be colored light/dark, spring/fall for example. I may get this, or not LOL! Thanks for the flip
I really enjoy doing the opposites tbh. I think it can be fun to create either something similar or contrast.

I saw this at the store today, and I didn’t get it yet because I have all of his books, but the juxtaposition of a lot of the images lends themselves to experimenting with different mediums. Thanks for the flip through ❤

Am I imagining it, or are some of those pages originally single pages and they’ve just flipped and mirrored it to make the double spread? Its just that I don’t remember some of them looking that way originally….I have all of his books and fighting the urge to buy it just because of full set syndrome 😂
No, you’re not imagining. A lot of these were originally single page images and they just flipped them to make it look mirrored. Kind of a bummer 😕

I only have Worlds Within Worlds. This is the one that intimidates me the least! LOL! I'm coloring from front to back. I love the finished pages, but take a long break between! I'd have to finish this book before investing in another one because I have limited space to store my books!
I love Kerby, but I wish he had more one sided books. Do you recommend any markers that wont bleed through and ruin the picture on the opposite side?
Tombows do well, but they are water based.
Kerby is such a phenomenal artist, but I don't buy any of his books because they intimidate me so much. Mostly because I look at them and think, "this would take me 20 hours to complete," which totally scares me away. Sometimes I wish I wasn't such a slow colorist!

I felt this way for a very long time. I bought one just a few months ago. I've got the page I started about 70% colored in just two days. Ofc, I'm a faster colorist and I also was following a color along and Prismacolors so I was coloring a bit faster than I normally would too. Once you plan out your page and what colors you want to use, just break it down into smaller sections. It'll help out a lot.
@@ReverieOfThorns that's how I tend to color too, choosing colors and planning things out beforehand. Hopefully that means it's just a matter of time before I'll be able to apply the process to Kerby pages without being so intimidated :)

I mean it's all personal preference right? I love that you can do a dark/light or some sort of contrast, but yeah totally get it
@@ColorfullyOptimistic I love the dark/light ideas but Hanna Karlzon has done some amazing images that you can do that without it being the exact same images. But yes it’s personal preference.
