As long as there is air circulating around the unit it will be fine. There is no "exhaust" as it's just a fan running through a filter saturated with water, but you do need to make sure there is room around the unit for it to draw air in. And you need to connect a garden host to it. Also, there is another unit made for indoor use you might want to check out. We just put the video up for that. It's called KuulAire and it's less expensive. Look for that video.
And the last thing from Port O Cool: If you haven't already done so, you might also check the owner's manual that came with your product. The troubleshooting section can be helpful in identifying problems and providing solutions. If you don't have one, you can download a manual online.
And more from Port O Cool: If the unit is NOT under warranty, you may have to replace the pump. You can go to port o cool parts dot com to check for which one you need. If the unit was allowed to run out of water (no water hose connection), this can damage the pump. If the unit is going to be unattended for long periods of time, be sure to connect a water hose to the unit.
They've upgraded their pumps now, I had pumps going out almost yearly but not since they new pump has come along. I replaced the old pump in all three of my 36 inch fans... we are going on 6 years trouble free now.

Is this suitable for an enclosed garage? I don't want to have to have an exhaust hose.
We have contacted the manufacturer and will get back to you with their response ASAP.
They make an indoor model, which is also on our site. Search for Kuulaire
can we use it in side the house?
