Sreeram sir, We know you are very talented musician. We also know that both ARR and Raja sir are highly talented. We also know that in any music composition the contribution of Ilayaraja is very high compared to other composers or musicians, arrangers or conductors. You may talk all these on youtube channels. We know that you cannot talk like this infront of Ilayaraja. If you are really that much straight forward tell it in front of Ilayaraja. You cannot because he has did more to music genuinely. His contribution to a song or score is more than any lyric writer or arranger. I know this because I also sequence songs on computer. What i have found by trial and error is that only Ilayaraja songs will stand the test of time. You are fed up with the way music is done but you travel on the same path for your survival. So, you better not talk about a person who has raised standards and set path for you in music industry to make music and live.
IRONY is he sings mostly Ilayaraja songs, to showcase his prowess, in his social media pages!

In 2009, Bollywood's Ismail Darbar said the SAME thing as Ram Gopal Varma (though he did not name the person which is out now)! They all dismissed him as "jealous". Now what?! The so-called composer was in soup 3 times before this: 1. 2018 - Malayalam composer Ouseppachan almost sued him for using his composition in Kaatru VeLiyidai; his mother bailed him out! 2. 2009 - Ismail Darbar 3. 2023 - Hindustani musician's family claiming for the ownership of PS-2 song! Though there is nothing "wrong" with what he does (aping the West), he cannot be called a COMPOSER like Maestro Ilayaraja who is the EXCEPTION even in the Indian music industry which has very few original composers. For example, KVM tuned while Pugazhendhi orchestrated. Same with MSV-TKR and later Joseph Krishna filling in. RDB had a team, and then there were duo composers where one did something and the other something else! Now, there are 2-6 different names for a single album! So, what Ram Gopal Varma said is NOT surprising at all! Many musicians/singers have mentioned subtly / directly on how their inputs were put together to "compile" a song. What Sukhwinder Singh said after that, is called "damage control". He also pays them "well" to keep things running "smoothly"! Whereas, even those who worked with other music directors clearly mentioned that "ILAYARAJA is DIFFERENT" and always revere him / applaud him immensely! Blasco (who worked with RDB), Uttam Singh (who arranged for several music directors) - all HAIL ILAYARAJA as THE incomparable genius. At the least, nobody "charged" IR and his predecessors with things like these!

இசை என்பது சாமானிய மக்களுக்கும் மனம் கவரும் வகையிலும், பாடலின் பொருளும் புரிந்து கொள்ளும் வகையில் கொடுப்பவரே சிறந்தவராக கருத வேண்டும். ஆனால், பார்ப்பன கூட்டம் மட்டுமே தலை ஆட்டும் புரியாத இசையை கொடுத்த மும்மூர்த்திகள் ஒருபோதும் மேலானவர்கள் அல்ல. இசை ஞானி அனைவருக்குமான இசையை வழங்குபவர் என்பதால் அவர் மக்கள் மனங்களில் என்றுமே மாமேதைதான்! மேலானவர்தான்!!

When a musician sells his soul / dharma for chump change! WHY BRING Ilayaraja's name in something unrelated? Where were all these termites hiding whenever Ilayaraja was blamed (with IR being on the RIGHT side legally and morally)? Sriram sings IR songs in his SM pages to showcase his prowess, but here he is being unfairly "loyal"! All these musicians carry the "grudge" that IR did not give them opportunities (though he has sung one song for IR)! How many songs did he sing for Arr; 1000?! In 2009, Bollywood's Ismail Darbar said the SAME thing as Ram Gopal Varma (though he did not name the person which is out now)! They all dismissed him as "jealous". Now what?! The so-called composer was in soup 3 times before this: 1. 2018 - Malayalam composer Ouseppachan almost sued him for using his composition in Kaatru VeLiyidai; his mother bailed him out! 2. 2009 - Ismail Darbar 3. 2023 - Hindustani musician's family claiming for the ownership of PS-2 song! Though there is nothing "wrong" with what he does (aping the West), he cannot be called a COMPOSER like Maestro Ilayaraja who is the EXCEPTION even in the Indian music industry which has very few original composers. For example, KVM tuned while Pugazhendhi orchestrated. Same with MSV-TKR and later Joseph Krishna filling in. RDB had a team, and then there were duo composers where one did something and the other something else! Now, there are 2-6 different names for a single album! So, what Ram Gopal Varma said is NOT surprising at all! Many musicians/singers have mentioned subtly / directly on how their inputs were put together to "compile" a song. What Sukhwinder Singh said after that, is called "damage control". He also pays them "well" to keep things running "smoothly"! Whereas, even those who worked with other music directors clearly mentioned that "ILAYARAJA is DIFFERENT" and always revere him / applaud him immensely! Blasco (who worked with RDB), Uttam Singh (who arranged for several music directors) - all HAIL ILAYARAJA as THE incomparable genius. At the least, nobody "charged" IR and his predecessors with things like these!
